[UPDATE]I started this article in the morning going through all nations resource wars pages. In that time Germany took a 3rd Fish and France a 2nd Cattle]
For some the wars were apparently easy. So easy that they duplicated their resources to the detriment of other countries. Or are planning to duplicate.
Simply put if everyone stick to 1 of resource the duplicate can go to another nation. One should not be so selfish that your argument should be but I can make money from it in a concession. So could that nation.
Put in another way there were 588 resources available at the start of the wars. So 74 nations cannot all get 10 resources. I have seen nations now going for less than the 10. After all if you could only place 1 or 2 of a level it wont really profit your nation or producers. Rather leave it to another nation. On average each nation can get 8 resources.
Well the wall of shame is as follows:

Duplicated Fish (food) and Iron (weps) are planning to add a third iron.

Duplicated Fruit and Cattle (Food). Luckily is done now so cant do anymore damage.

From here the list is a bit more complicated. Some of these nations have not duplicated anything but have 2 of an item queued. And we have all seen with the 11 Bozos before how queuing 2 of an item have worked out.
Some have allocated common items and are queuing a duplicate.

Have 2 Rubber queued (WEPS) Yukon and Nunavut could both be allocated. So they are going for the double.

Allocated Fish but have 1 fish queued. So will duplicate if they hit fish (shameful)

Allocated Fish but have 1 fish queued. So will duplicate if they hit fish (shameful)

Has 2 aluminum queued for some unknown reason?

Queued 3 of each food resource. But has not achieved a single resource yet.
But you say this wont have an effect. What if I'm telling you it already is having a big effect.
Here is the list of allocated versus available resources.
We will see how much is left of the duplicate resources allocated.
So let's go through it resource per resource
FOOD
FISH
4 duplicates have been taken. 41 Fish have already been allocated if the other 5 queued is allocated we only have 14 FISH left for smaller nations.
Only 12 fish have been queued in total.
FRUITS
2 duplicates have been taken. Albania has 3 queued and Austria will duplicate if they hit the extra fruit.
40 Fruits have been allocated. Leaving 15 spots. Taking 2 of Albania and 1 from Austria. That would mean only 12 left to other nations which dont have the resource.
19 Fruit have been queued . Subtracting 3 queued it means 4 nations wont get Fruits.
CATTLE
2 Duplicates have been taken. 40 Cattle have been allocated. Only 10 is left and there is a queue of 20 minus 2 Albania minus 1 Austria. 17 nations want this resource(2 already is denied) and we don't know what will happen with Austria.
WEAPONS
IRON
1 Duplicate has been taken. 24 Have been allocated and 16 is left . 16 Have been queued. So this wont have an effect.
ALUMINIUM
2 Duplicates have been taken. 26 Have been allocated and only 4 is left. With 22 nations still wanting this resource and with 1 nation Mexico going for a duplicate we can see that 2 to 3 nations will be denied in a much sought-after resource.
HOUSING
SAND
1 Duplicate has been taken. 18 Sand have been allocated. However since 12 is left and only 6 queued this wont have an effect.
AIRCRAFT
MAGNESIUM
1 Duplicate has been taken. 25 Have been allocated and 15 is left. However, since only 5 is queued this wont have an effect.

Do you understand the concept of this event? How resources work? How regions need to be connected to the capital in order to profit from the bonus? Concessions? About how rare and very rare resources have radius and once you get inside the radius you can no longer get them? Hell if thats the case I wonder why Italy had 8 fish resources 6 years ago (before the first resource relocation came). But in those days resources were actually based on real life locations. Swiss and Austria together had 4 of 12 Deer resources in Europe. Egypt had no Deer. Anyway, bottom line, better to have duplicate resources than have 8 in total from 10 max. Some countries still go for Rubber in Europe, not knowing they are inside the radius.

Yes certainly. Do you? You already have 8 resources. that is plenty and have 2 unique resources queued in Magnesium and Wolfram. That would give you 10. Why do you want to make your name a* and duplicate 3 resources 😛 About the rubber. Some nations have hidden regions like Greece Lesbos, Portugal Azores etc etc. It makes it easier for them so they could still get rubber. Still to whom are you going to sell your concession. A death nation with no resources that have shut down because their citizens abandon them. with no source of income as they dont have any regions in their country for a holding company. but certainly if you want to be greedy. nothing is stopping you. you will go down though as a s* nation and people with the right information. will avoid you like the plague.
Hey its your article. I'm just the dumb dude who tried to explain why some countries go for duplicate resources.
including austria the country that you have a say in? i know why they go for duplicate resources doesnt mean its morally ok? balance in this game will just keep on deteriorating there is not a single full region in any resource except food and housing. if everyone just helps himself to a duplicate here and there , there wont be full weps or aircraft missiles.
Yeah thats true. I liked the old map with the old resources. Every region had a resource back then. Defending all of them was hard. Now people make 4 bases, 4 resources in each two, per 1 in the other two. 100% bonus in 2 categories and thats that. Easy.
i used to work in ireland till about right before the second resource war. bonuses were always crappy but we didnt have much of a choice. now you can work anywhere so there is not much incentive to work for less than the 100% bonus in your country. might just do it anyway to spite Plato. but i would really want us to atleast have the crappy resources .
There will always be 2 countries to choose from. For 100% bonus.

Mexico will not use Titanium, They can give you a consession from that.
