[TB4CP] Unfinished Business

Day 4,694, 21:34 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

Greetings fellow citizens of the eUSA. As you have no doubt surmised from the title of this article; I am announcing my intentions to run for President of the eUSA during the month of October. Up until early this week I was up to my eyeballs in mandatory overtime. That combined with a recent decision to go back to school for two certifications left me with nothing resembling free time. Then my office hired five more carriers and are planning on hiring three more. Just like that I went from 6 days and near 60 hours a week to 5 days and 45 hours at the max. The certifications have also proved to be less daunting and time consuming than I originally believed they would be.

Krapis and I have communicated at various intervals throughout these last two months. He’s done an excellent job during his time as President. He would be the first to say it’s not been perfect, but nothing ever is. All the same though, remarkable progress has been made on so many fronts. I stepped aside in August because I believed in Krapis and his plans. He and his team came through in a big way. During those aforementioned conversations with Krapis I mentioned to him I had heard he was considering not running for President in October. I informed him I was rested and ready to make a go of it if he should decline to run. I also told him should he choose to run I would do everything in my power to help. Endorsement articles, Messaging, shouts etc.

Recent clouds of controversy have descended on Krapis regarding whether or not he is a new player. I will repeat what my response to Dom when he asked where I stood on this subject:

“I was comfortable with Krapis taking the reins thus why I didn't run in August. I think he's made good decisions, kept the community engaged, and overall done a good job. Whether or not he's a new player or an older player looking for a fresh start is largely irrelevant to me.”

That’s all I will say on the matter. I have never loved how quickly some will turn on a freshly elected leader. I have learned to accept that it just comes with the territory when it is my turn at the helm, but it bothers me to see it happen to others. I will not engage in this castigating and denigrating of someone who has dedicated countless hours to the betterment of our community.

So let’s move forward to plans. As the title implies I have some unfinished business. This business is both from the last Resource War and from my more recent tenure as President. The goal here in regards to the Resource Wars is to achieve the hat trick. In 2015 under President Wild Owl we achieved full bonuses. In 2016 I during my term Yui and his team achieved 19/20 resources Yui and I have unfinished business with Neodymium. This time around we will come out of the Resource Wars with 20/20.

I will once again be placing Yui in charge of coordinating the Resource Wars. This will of course be a team effort, but Yui will be our maestro in this effort. For 5 years and change we here in the eUSA have enjoyed the most advantageous bonuses in the game. If we all pull together we can and will enjoy full bonuses after this event. This will not be done in an eUSA vacuum. We will need to coordinate with our TW partners in Asteria. Last time around we juggled 8 TWs. If this event is anything like the last we have plenty of reliable partners to work with in the furtherance of their goals and ours.

Which takes me to unfinished business from my last tenure just two months ago. First and foremost is Pinkeye. My team and I teased a couple of articles and Press Briefings to prep for the launch of the event. Yet circumstances and time just derailed the event. However, KingTaco worked very hard to get the DOI site ready and find people willing to be key players in the event. I have worked on the backstory of the event even after leaving office as Krapis was very willing to go forward with it, but again time worked against me. My articles at a minimum take me several hours to write. I just did not have enough free blocks of time to do this event properly. In a way I am glad we are able to do this event in October. Zombies and Halloween just go together.

As for the rest of my agenda I think my last tenure as President was recent enough that most if not all know what a TB administration has to offer. Transparency, inclusion, team building, engagement, media, and everyone with a seat at the table. This is what I have tried to bring as President over my previous terms. This is what I will bring during the month of October. I will be approaching people about serving in my administration, however, I would also like to extend an open invitation to those who wish to get involved to please contact me.

Many hands make light work. They also make that work fun and rewarding. Few things in this game are more fulfilling to me than being a part of a team as it comes together. It is such an enriching experience to see a team of rivals gel into a team built on friendship, common purpose, and mutual respect.

That is what I have to offer. The rifts that perpetually afflict our community are narrower than they were last Spring when I first sought to prove both to myself and the larger community that we can still do great things together. I believe we collectively did just that.

This last half year has seen a lot of dramatic changes within the eUSA. While I fully acknowledge that these changes have not always been enacted or installed as smoothly as they could or should have (much of the blame for that falls on me), I firmly believe these shifts have been and will continue to be for the betterment of the eUSA and our place on the world stage. We have excellent things ahead of us.

October is my favorite month and Halloween is my favorite holiday. You will see that enthusiasm come through in the work we do. I will be publishing more articles laying out specifics and the Executive team, but for now I thank you for taking the time to read. I ask that you consider voting Tyler Bubblar for President on October 5th 2020. Let’s run this out one more time and hold nothing back. I fully intend for this to be the finest term I have ever served as President. Stay tuned.
