Let's go tobogganing!
Mmmm... can I drink it? In all seriousness though, this is a great (or terrible) discovery! Means that one considerable obstacle to human settlement on Mars might be eliminated - depends on whether you think that that is a good thing or a bad thing.
some of the "snow" discovered on Mars is a byproduct of carbon dioxide clouds, so no in that instance id have thought. but the latest evidence of liquid water might be more palatable from what ive read
this is major
Bout time they found evidence it could be habitable. Cant have snow without oxygen I say. with oxygen comes possibilities. If its real photo then that is great news for our over populated planet to have some hope. lol. nice.
I believe some of the reports of snow or "ice" found on Mars are the product of carbon dioxide clouds near the south Pole, but the image above is from elsewhere on Mars, and has been described as "ice water" from what I read. Not sure how this differs from pure snow, but Im assuming the chemical composition is different
put a dome over it Elon pls
they can terraform the whole planet , installing mini nuclear stations that boil up that water and release it to the air .. thats beside the fact that it can sustain human life in underground or dome set up .. potentailly we could also contaminate earth with marsian bacteria and kill the whole planet which would be awesome
Now we just need a thicker atmosphere on Mars.
