Appendix: Winter Challenge 2020

CURRAHEE!!

Easy Company soldiers are always eager to understand the game mechanics so that they can squeeze the maximum advantage out of every treat and token Plato leaves under our tree. To that end, EZC Command recommends the following actions with respect to the current Winter Challenge.

The key, as always, is to get your energy regenerating as soon as possible. Hopefully by the time you’re reading this, you’ve already pushed your prestige to the limits of what you can afford for the week.

Even if you are not consuming lots of energy bars, by now you probably have a “Gift” in your inventory. Let’s talk about how to get the most out of those.

For some of you, selling gifts is a great way to boost your supply of country currency. Before you sell, do some research about how much you can get in return. Each gift is worth at least 5 Gold, so NEVER take less than the equivalent value of 5G on the Monetary Market, but you should be able to sell them for the equivalent of at least 7G.

Regardless of your intention to sell gifts, it is still recommended that you trade some of your gifts with others in your Military Unit. Plato has packed a couple of decent bonuses in these gifts which make them more valuable than the currency they sell for.

The 1 Gold is nice, and it’s not too soon to start saving your gold for next year’s Black Friday sale. Take it and save it.

The Winter Treat is worth 50 energy, or 5 clicks of the fight button. More importantly, it’s worth 5 Prestige points. Grab these, but don’t use them just yet, we’ll discuss their use below.

The Snow Fight Token is a single use item that is clicked from the battlefield you are fighting on. Please note: it only lasts for 3 minutes!

You’ve seen this already. Perhaps members of other military units will be more selfish and use these tokens to boost their own damage without giving thought to their true value. But you are a member of Easy Company.

We recommend that you use these tokens according to the following protocol.

First, make sure you are activating the bonus in a minibattle that has been designated by the Department of Defense as “USA to win”. You can reference the Training War Guide published by President Chickensguys to be sure.

Second, before you activate the booster, try to get some of your regiment involved, as the boost applies to every member of your regiment.

To do this, copy the link to the minibattle you are boosting. Go to the always-active EZC MU Shout Feed, drop your link, and announce the number of boosters you plan to activate along with your regiment number, division, round, and time. Your shout should look something like this: “BATTLE LINK - 4x Snow Fight, Air Division, Round 4 @24 minutes! ” or “BATTLE LINK - 6x Snow Fight, 4th Division, Round 6 @24 minutes!” Then return to the battle, wait for the 24 minute mark (or whatever minute mark you’ve picked), and start that snow fight. In the first example, you would be activating 4 Snow Fight boosters in a row beginning at the 24 minute mark. In the second example, you would be activating 6.

Finally, let’s talk about the Prestige Points Booster, and in doing so we will also revisit our recommendation for your Winter Treats.

Coordinating the use of these two gifts, along with the Snow Fight Token, is the best wisdom EZC Command has to offer. The Prestige Points Booster is a 3 minute activation during which every fight click yields two Prestige Points rather than one. This obviously accelerates your progress towards unlocking more energy recovery, more energy bars, and more gifts!

Using the Deployment mechanic in the battlefield you can spend 100 Winter Treats during a 3 minute span. This means that if you burn one Prestige Points booster after you’ve collected 100 Winter treats (just 20 Gifts traded), you will have generated a bonus for yourself worth 50 energy bars - a HUGE value. You will have also generated an additional 500 Prestige Points which, likely means you’ve also unlocked more prizes from the weekly challenge.

Reminders:

You can double-check your regiment by finding yourself on this list. Your regiment will be listed in the far-right column. The fastest way to find yourself is to use the search box just to the right of the “This week” button.

Avoid using the Snow Fight Tokens in a battle USA is supposed to lose.
