The human imagination, unfazed in the face of creation, preserves sanity against the great chaos. To be against nature, with its death, decay, and unfathomable distances and timespans, is the natural state of humanity.

Unable and unwilling to sink into the earth any sooner than absolutely necessary, mankind builds windmills and sends prayers up and out to distant stars, and imagines improbabilities, bridging the gap between now and forever, between this and that. Our cleverness in capturing the wind expresses our determination, not unlike the ancient generations of gods and sages, to surpass Gaia and ignore Abraxas.
