Update on Alliances
Thedark ace
Now for another article on the alliance situation, I hope you enjoy
🙂
Phoenix
Phoenix is certain to fall. Both Serbia and Hungary have left the alliance, with Turkey having quit. Whether Phoenix will split up entirely, or rename itself and restart, it's hard to tell. The only thing that is known within the next month, it will break up. Whether it will go further streamlined, taking only the top 10 nations within it's ranks, with a possibility of adding Poland to the alliance. Disputes are starting between nations, but rather one or two higher officials are blaming each other. As far as I can see, no members will choose to leave their allies.
Indonesia, after rumours of leaving have made this statement:
"1) eIndonesia will stay with its current alliance Phoenix, until (soon) it'll be dismissed, or all members except eIndonesia declared themselves to quit from Phoenix alliance
2) When Phoenix officialy dismissed, eIndonesia will stay with BIA (Brazil-Indonesia-Argentina or someone called it Brother In Arms) and keep neutrality, and will not join any other alliance, except BIA. But we will always welcome every country who wants to make diplomacy or foreign policy with eIndonesia"
I think this shows that there is a strong bond with Brazil and Argentina, and the fact that all members of Phoenix both want to stay with the alliance but expect it to fall. After rumours that Indonesia may have links with PanAm, they have clearly voted no.
EDEN
So far, nothing has been confirmed within EDEN. Poland, nor Spain, have left the alliance. Plans have been made to make a "New World Order", although it looks more unlikely as the days go by. Australia looks to be left for dead, as USA, their main ally, has been starting to make friends with the enemy. Australia looks to be very hard off, but aside from that, no member of the Brotherhood should be left behind. Aside from Poland and Spain, no member looks to either break up the alliance or leave it.
New World Order
The supposed group who wanted to take over the world. Poland, Spain, France were invited, Croatia, Hungary and Serbia. It looks more unlikely by the day, with Serbia & Croatia at war, and France having been at war with Spain and currently with Poland, although France reached an agreement with Poland, for Poland to take some French regions. The French president is now facing impeachment. Not to mention, as Poland occupy Germany, Serbia and Hungary both have a strong friendship with Germany. The Phoenix & EDEN ties may get in the way here, but maybe a new idea and a new hope can sway old ties?
PanAm, just another Brolliance?
It was supposed to bring the America's together. And a South Asian nation, but Argentina denied their invite as did another. Of course America are in, and I believe Canada have said yes. Japan I don't know of yet, and Brazil have also signed the treaty.
Brothers In ArmsAKA Brazil Indonesia Argentina
So, this means it's unlikely that any of the above join PanAm. It's the outer Phoenix nations, showing that the Super-Alliances ties will continue to remain strong. I think, that an official alliance will be signed should Phoenix break up.
What happens now? Is there really an end to the Polar Alliances?
Since the beginning of Atlantis & PEACE GC, there have always been two sides fighting it out against each other. If you'd ask me the question 3 days ago, or even yesterday, I would of replied "it's going regional, it's the end of Polarization" But you're asking me today, I think that within the next 6 months, Phoenix and EDEN will both fall, but restart under a new name and treaty. The ties that the ropes of Super-alliances are still gripped tight around the nations mind, it will be hard, stupid and risky to betray those alliances for anyone on either side. Phoenix will realise they must stick by their allies, and are expected to go further streamlined. I expect EDEN to succumb to the same disease, and restart too.
Keep your eyes peeled, but don't expect too much out the ordinary, and sorry to disappoint
🙂

Comments
eArgentina didnt deny their invitation, we are debating internally about our steps, but the invitation is there (We were one of the firsts to be invited together with brazil, usa and canada).
We are merly observers now.
Voted From eIndonesia 🙂)
What a weird situation... :/
Croatia gvt try to sign peace with Serbia twice, but congress and 80% of people dont accept that...cant imagine Croatia be allie with Serbia or Hungary....vote
nice article o/
/me personally think that eIndos decision to stay in PHX is a bad idea
good article
it will be cool article if you list the country in the alliance left.
But in the long run, it'll go back to square one - bipolar world, names change, alliances change - but it always rotates back to the same old.
To quote Ron Pearlman and Fallout: War. War never changes.
Sure the alliances will change, PanAm might work out great. EDEN seems to be weathering the storm cause by Phoenix top tier members quitting and Turkey fleeing.
Now would be the time to possibly form a SE Asian alliance that HAS teeth (I.e. Soldiers to back it up). Sol, ONE and ALLIES all seem to ignore the fact that you cant have a defensive alliance with out at least one major superpower to aid it.
+1 to Relorian. Sol died as soon as eChina stopped sending reps. No strong central support and it rotted from the inside out, then died on the vine.
PACMEN ftw.
>"Since the beginning of Atlantis & PEACE GC, there have always been two sides fighting it out against each other"
Meh. I think it originally started as FIST vs ATLANTIS, but FIST was reformed into PEACE GC, if my history is right...
>Now would be the time to possibly form a SE Asian alliance that HAS teeth.
Now is the perfect time for eSingapore to jump on-board the PACMAN movement, we would greatly appreciate more soldiers and money from our friends in the west.
[removed]
Myung Kei, I doubt Pacman has teeth unless you have a super power sitting on board. I mean really Sol and One suffered the same issue. No superpowers to back the alliance ment that it was up to most of the small nations to defend themselves.
Pacman sounds like just the same ol same ol, minus the red tape but also minus half the nations of Sol.
You need more muscle behind an alliance. 3 tiny nations with 3 tiny militaries will be hard pressed to defend itself.
new: peace deal between Poland and France...Poland get region Poitou Charentes...France let Poland through regions Champagne Ardenne, Burgundy and Loire Valley to take this region....French people are not happy with this deal...they think that is betrayal from his prez
They owe me money!
join PACMAN
no PACMAN for us, thank you anyway
Yeah, we need to join an alliance for our safety and prosperity if for no other reason.
@ MachoDeath, when I see you and other PACMEN commenting telling people to take Singapore, over taking a PTOed Thailand, I really don't think us joining PACMAN is a decent idea.
Please f*ck off though.
Thanks for all the votes guys!
Relorian, I don't know what miracle you are waiting for, but at this point the chances of their being a SE Asian Alliance with the ability to arbitrarily throw its weight around are zero to none. eChina is the closest "superpower" in the region, and I doubt they would ever join an alliance where they just defend us.
I would much rather have three united nations at least trying to put up a fight than three fragmented nations not having a clue as to what to do.
@Thedark
PACMAN doesn't endorse any of those positions, if both Prle and Hekter stated such, then that would be an official position.
MachoDeath is Indo dark, in no way is he recognized as having any type of speaking power for PACMAN.
@Relorian: Having a superpower on board only means we have nothing to do. Alliances survive with superpowers because the superpower takes care of everything. That's not what we want, we want to be able to say we actually did something. We're aware of our limitations and we cope with them. I see no small EDEN or PHX country receiving recognition around the world, only the superpowers of the alliances. We'd rather fight for ourselves than be controlled by a superpower.
@Myung Kei: I think your missing the point. Minus a super power to help protect the region and to have an open expansive market to sell to, Any alliance is doomed to fail. I watched as Sol failed the moment it was beset by invasions because despite the best efforts of all involved, a hand full of sand in the eyes of a superpower does nothing.
You NEED a superpower on board for both protection and for a big open market to sell goods in for an economic gain.
Burying your head in the sand and chanting "Pacman will work" does not mean its going to work any better than Sol, One or the proposed Allies. At most it will be an alliance that fails when eIndo (A super power who could be courted) comes door knocking and invades one or more members via the Natural Enemy feature.
At worse it will be a "Join or Die" movement, which apparently there are some people already pushing for. True you say that its not the official posistion but if its already starting and its this early into an "Alliance" then that shows a pre-existing ill will.
@Dr. Straatman: It wouldnt be being controlled by a superpower if you asked one to join Pacman on equal footing with everyone else in the alliance. However you and others have made it very clear you just want a small regional alliance that will fail the moment someone bigger rolls through. Good luck but I think most of the older eSingapore players see it for what it is.
Thedark, you is such ashout spamer oo
=.=
Long article myung. But, saying we're hypocritical, the we attacked you and we bury our head in the sand, just are the most hypocritical possible comments. Joining Pacman is stupid. Look @ Malaysia, they got threatened to be wiped. Did they call upon all allies for a fight, as Singapore did when it was in the face of danger? No.
It rolled over and said, help me do something I can't, and you can take all my original regions babe. And no, they won't be free any time soon.
Thailand leaves Phoenix
Great update... vote + sub (:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/breaking-news-serbia-leaves-phoenix--1620132/1/20
@Thedark
I am calling it like it is because that is exactly how it happened. ePH was arm-twisted into ratifying the ONE treaty, most notably by eSG reps (ePH being the only country to hold a vote on it no less). The Congress was threatened by saying we would be locked out of a "SE Asia unifying plan" (which never was implemented, only to be revived by Jelly who was sub-sequentially attacked for it) and face economic restrictions. We said no because it was Sol all over again and we were disgusted by the blackmailing.
But look at the situation now, we kindly are asking...okay...maybe a bit harshly, for eSG to join PACMAN. And we have asked for their alternative alliance? Allies? Sol v5. PANAM? Couldn't get involved. Courting eIndo? Another stratosphere of rediculousness.
You are comparing eMalaysia's situation to eSG's, apples to oranges. The difference is that eMY saw the writing on the wall: if eIndo wants a babyboom, there is hardly a superpower in the world that would be able to stop them. Given that and the simple fact that they have little money for formal MPP's (as we do) and little time to do so. We never said that PACMAN would be able to stop steamrollers from coming on through...
Neutrality, as usual, is always an option, but would it be better to have three nations which all value neutrality, organized and mutually pledged to each other...then have three disorganized and piddling nations?
Voted.
It will be interesting to see how the breakdown of the traditional alliance structure will affect the eWorld.
You've prettymuch made a point that Singapore shouldn't be in the alliance belter. Thx.
As you said, you have Indonesia as a threat...our minds aren't the same.
