UN conference failure - definitely worth a read!

Day 634, 12:07 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Jim Timber

The following discussion point was sent by the UN to governments around the worl😛

"please give your opinion as to how the world can work together to combat poverty and hunger and ensure people have enough food to eat."

Sadly, the exercise was an absolute failure because:

- The Russian's couldn't understand the word 'please'
- Thailand doesn't have a word for 'give'
- China couldn't understand what 'opinion' meant
- The English thought 'how' was a native American word and it would be un-PC to comment.
- North Korea and Burma couldn't get there head around the meaning of 'the world'
- The Scottish couldn't fathom what 'work' was.
- Tibet tried to answer about 'together' but the Chinese vetoed that.
- France gave up when they came to the word 'combat'
- USA had no idea what 'hunger' or 'poverty' was.
- Iran was puzzled by the idea of 'people'.
- Ireland didn't believe in the word 'enough'
- And most African nations didn't know what 'food' or 'eat' was.
