This paper looks back Two Hundred Days from the current date and examines the progress one citizen made over the course of his first Two Hundred Days in eRepublik. Also, there will always be at least TWO hotties in every issue.

It's been a week since our last issue - where does the time go? There were at least two Days I wanted to write about in that span but "real life" called and of course (as most citizens find out sooner or later) RL > eRep... so this'll be a fairly abbreviated issue today, just a couple of high points:

Two Hundred Days ago, Day 729, things were going great for me in eRep. I had just earned my first Hardworker Medal, which used to mean a guaranteed 5.0 Gold - those were the days amirite? That unbroken streak of days worked and HWMs continues today ("You worked 231 days in a row") and has been a big help to me in eRep. I had been earning a nice salary, more than a dollar above the highest market offer for a Land Skill 3 at the time. I think my boss valued the fact that I worked every day w/ 90+ Wellness. So anyway between my pay and rewards I started the Day with 9.00 USD and 7.05 G. I was getting that "hey I'm doin' pretty well" feeling, and thinking it was time to upgrade my house to one in a nicer neighborhood.

Moral of the story?
1. Work every day at high Wellness
2. Raise skill level, collect daily salary and monthly gold.
3. PROFIT.

I needed to convert some Gold into USD so I could pick up a new Q2 house at the Marketplace. Looking back, I don't think at the time I knew what I'm about to tell you now. As a result, I probably missed out on an easy opportunity to help out the eUS at no cost to me whatsoever. For all I know, I may have even unwittingly aided our enemies. In my shame, I tell you now in order that you can learn and be better informed than I was. So listen up:

Is everyone paying attention?

It's important when you buy USD on the Monetary Market to buy them from the Congressional Budget Office. Basically, eRep rules allow the eUS government to profit from the sale of USD on the MM, and that profit helps to fund our military and keep our eNation strong. Here are a couple of excellent articles that explain it better than I ever could - so read and heed.

Who knows, maybe I was smart enough to think about who i was buying my USD from, or maybe I got lucky and did the right thing by accident - those details were never recorded so the truth is lost to history. I do know that I bought 250 USD for 6.25 G - a rate of 0.025 G/USD which, despite some interim fluctuations, is the same today as it was two hundred days ago. My new Q2 house cost 260 USD + tax for a total of 262.60 USD (or about 6.56 G), very nearly my total net worth at the time. I felt like George Jefferson: "movin' on up... to the East Side..."

It was nice to have someplace to entertain.

So I turned in for the night @ 2015 eRep Time at 89.56 Wellness, snug in my new Q2 house. I only had 1.84 USD and 0.8 G to my name, but I had steady work with a good boss at better-than-market wages. Still had that Q1 house in my inventory too, good for a couple Gold at least. With Q1 food running about 0.60 USD and Q1 weapons only about 3.80 I was in decent shape financially, and expected the higher-quality house to make keeping my health up easier.
