Truth about "the wall" ( bar on battlefield )
nathaner
Many of you have seen the AusDoD orders in there newspaper which has a very picture detailing how battles workfor new players and this is great because erepublik can be realy confusing for someone who has never played before. However, one piece of advice stating that you should try not to fight in a battle until the 30 minutes because it gives more points is a common misconception . The country that wins a battle is the side that does the most damage is always going to win , it doesnt matter when you fight as long as you do because the amount of damage one side has done wont go down and you will continue to earn points until the enemy has done more total damage in that division than you .

Good info o7
I think the main reason for not putting all the big damage in early is it gives the opposition a chance to get their act together and equalise towards the end of the battle.
As you say, there is definitely something to be said for getting in front and trying to stay there (as you keep accumulating points.
Keep up the good work.
there is also the fact that at the 1`:30 mark points are awarded faster.
Yes. It is more important to be winning later in the battle in terms of the rate of points accrual. But you can win a battle from 0 points to 1780 due to the way the point system is structured.
we usually do it in the first 1.5 hours due to time constraints since we are trying to fight when our enemies sleep
dont put damage in early because the other side knows how much they need to do to win the battle. if you have a 5m rocket why fire it at the start? save it till the end when you need to surprise them and they can't get the final damage together...
I am not sure what is best. In Div 2, 5 mil is enough to win most times. A guy dropping a 5m rocket toward the end when we were up 52% doesn't help. If he would have dropped the 5 mil earlier, then I would have saved my damage for next round.
i was using Div 4 as an example. I don't think div 2 has a 5mil rocket.
I guess it was a 5m big bomb. Check out Div 2 in Queensland battle 5 today.
I am still trying to pick the best time to drop damage. I will wait until the end this round.
Standard Aus strategy is to hit big at the start to rake in easy points since many countries ignore battles until the last hour. We then cruise, and then try to win as fast into the 1:30 mark as possible where its 60pts/min. We usually cannot sustain a large onslaught for an extended period. This means our tanks have about 5 minutes to close the deal before the enemy catches up (and usually wins).
We have 1 battle to run at a time to focus on. They try to be time efficient. We try to be damage efficient.
Actually we hardly lose any d4 battles so it works 😛
we use to winn with 67% and we loose 51%,i meen we spent to much in a batle were the win is obvious ,and we loose for a bit .o7
The thing about strategy is that it needs to change to remain effective.
The default is a safe option for people with time constraints who cannot sit out a 2 hour battle.
Joining the battle channels on IRC shows more variety where the QMs manipulate the damage flow by rate of supply, and the more experienced soldiers hit more strategically. If you are keen to learn some subtleties and just make good mates, I encourage you hang out in #auswar #brostralia and #NaN.supply more when you fight.
