Trekker's Interview with Carlos3652

Day 4,835, 22:46 Published in USA USA by Trekker Tlumac

Evening ladies and germs. Today is the 15th of February, and you know what that means! No, it doesn’t mean this, this, or even that.

I mean, sure, it could mean those things. Or even something more like this... Yeah, don’t ask. Like really, don’t ask…

However, all joking (mostly) aside, the 15th of February is a very important day to us all. It marks one of the three sacred days a month in eRep. It is Party Presidential Election day! I know, right?! So exciting!

As you all (probably) know, the 15th of each month is the day that we get to voice our faith in our party leaders. Here at The 506 we are proud to be taking part in this process. This month we have the phenomenally talented Carlos3652 as our official Party Presidential Election selection!

Carlos and I were able to connect up to have a polite conversation about his plans within the party for the coming month.

Trekker: Thanks for meeting with me. It is greatly appreciated.

So, as you already know, the purpose of this meeting is to discuss your impending rise to the seat of Party President. Of course this is assuming that no one, who may be a bit salty about not being the big PP, goes all Nancy Kerrigan on your knees or something. Erm, I mean, being PP couldn’t have happened to a better guy!

I wanted to ask you about a few things, so that our party, and country, can get to know our incoming PP.

Trekker: So, starting off, I wanted to ask first about why you joined The 506. All of us have personal reasons, why are you here?

Carlos: I joined 506 because of the fact that its synonymous with EZC. I am EZC through and through and even though I had amazing years with the USWP... once EZC came out with a political wing, I had to join. This MU is a brotherhood and its one of the best social gatherings in the game.

Trekker: What made you desire to take the helm of The 506 this month?

Carlos: I do not think we will be a T5 party this month, and I thought it would be interesting to have conversations with other PP's and try to get the feel of the land for a party on the outside looking in. It's a different dynamic... and I feel (right or wrong) there are misconceptions of what we are trying to accomplish. At the end of the day, we want EZC to have a voice. If that gets accomplished as a T5 or working with other parties in the T5 while we are 6th, the goal has not changed.

Trekker: Obviously you have been around a time or two. I mean, former CP, a laundry list of other jobs, and tanking, so you are definitely vastly over-qualified for the job of PP. That’s a good thing, we need that strength of experience. For anyone who has never heard of you, basically the beautiful Noobs, those who live under rocks, or recently returned to the game after having been asleep for the last few years, can you tell us a bit about your history?

Carlos: I played in the early years (2012), but I hit my stride in 2017/18 in EZC as a Captain of the Airborne Regiment as well as MoFa for the eUSA. I later became Commander (CO) of EZC as well as Country President (CP) of eUSA in 18/19 and worked with RT and Colin (pre Code days) to remove the occupiers who had been in the country forcefully for 9 months. My Golden days for sure. Then I had a kiddo and retired only to come back 19 months later during COVID and return as MoFA.

Trekker: As a party in our political infancy there are many things that other, more established, parties have that we do not, what do you see as your role as party leader?

Carlos: I answered this is #2. But basically working with other parties to see how we can make sure our military needs as an MU are met and try to meet in the middle with other parties and their needs.

Trekker: Deepchill started our journey, and it will be a long time before we get where we are going. Each PP will add their vision to that growing legacy. What kinds of plans do you have for the party?

Carlos: I'd like to be active, do giveaways and provide a fun community experience. I currently provide my workers from the USWP extra goodies and I will probably expand that to our party this month.

As well as try to grow the brand of the party with the help of some of its members.

Trekker: As the leader of a large party on the outside of the T5, what do you feel our role in the eUSA is? How will we, as a party, fulfill this role?

Carlos: I think we are going to bring a unique perspective to the political module. The most important module in the game at this point is the military one. And we need to make sure that our politics and policies take that into account.

Trekker: If anyone were interested in becoming more active in the party, who should they contact?

Carlos: Deepchill or I. Let me know what you want to do and I'll do my best to ensure you are as active as you want to be.

Trekker: Is taco tuesday still on?

Carlos: Duh!

Trekker: Yeah, yeah. Obviously taco traditions take precedence. However, most importantly, as a lizard, it is important to me to know that my needs are going to be met. Do you swear to keep the clubhouse house thermostat set to at least 80 degrees?

At this point in the interview, Carlos did not respond, instead he leaned over and turned the thermostat up to eight-seven degrees. My cold-blooded heart had never felt more filled in this digital world we all inhabit

Trekker: Ahh… That is so much better. Well that covers most of what I wanted to discuss. Do you have any last thoughts you would like to share with us?

Carlos: What I will share with you is that the weather outside my house has not surpassed single digits for over a week now. I'm dying in this cold weather, and I swear if I have to shovel another 1 inch of snow (every night it snows) in the morning I will shed my skin like you do in anger![i/]

Trekker: Thanks for meeting with us, on that note, I am going to go curl up around the thermostat in the break room and wait out the next snow storm.

Carlos’ last sentiment was one that I could completely relate to. As I finish editing this I am waiting for the first flakes of the latest snow storm to start. Yes, yes, I understand that it is currently midnight and the storm is not due to hit until noontime, but still I can wait, uneagerly, for it. I do not look forward to shoveling the 10 inches we are predicted to get over the next day. My car might as well stay buried until spring.

That said, there are things that I am looking forward to.

I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for The 506 with you in charge. The next month is looking great. So remember kids, tanks, and elephants, vote Carlos on February 15th!

Until next time we meet,
