Three reasons why this was a good time to NE Ireland

Day 1,249, 17:01 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Danie Fox

Finally!

As many of you will have seen, we are about to go to war with Ireland. Here's why we're doing it now, and why the situation is so much better than before.

Solidarity across the pond : D

Canada are declaring Ireland their Natural Enemy, and as Canada are in EDEN like Ireland, are a larger country and have been in EDEN for longer than Ireland, we probably won't have EDEN to worry about in our war. They will probably not take a stance, especially seeing as how they are heavily relying on Terra to co-ordinate damage to fight ONE. It is unlikely this war is a TW, seeing as TWs tend to be announced in advance, whereas there are no news articles in either country about the war. There is also a small MPP clash, something which usually avoided in a training war, as due to the co-operation required for a TW MPPs are usually signed accordingly.

I hope this is a real war... but there are no articles confirming whether or not it is serious yet

Ireland have responded by doing the same to Canada - meaning that they can't NE us for a week, and will be stretched fighting on two fronts. We're going to lose a US MPP, but I'm sure we'll survive - the US can't support Ireland without tearing Terra apart, and then they'd really be screwed - just look at the map!

Usually, whenever we threaten to attack Ireland, all of Scandinavia respond with NE proposals of their own, and we back down. This time, they are fighting each other, so cannot NE us - and without Sweden's help, Norway is too weak too be expected to NE us, and Finland doesn't even have a border anymore.

Good NE timing by Woldy, for once a war we might win : D

All in all, the future looks good for our invasion! Our neighbours are distracted, be it in Finland or across the Atlantic in the case of the Spolish menace, whilst the worldwide situation is so precarious that EDEN cannot afford to cut relations with Terra over a country as small as Ireland. It is also unlikely that Ireland could do a Belgium, and get help from ONE - Ireland has a great relation with Croatia, something which is unlikely to endear them to any ONE members. We may see a few Croatians, at worst Romper, tank against us, but they will likely be busy fighting against Serbia in the Alaska and Far Eastern Russia instead.

Let's move up a circle - they're called the British Isles for a reason ; ) This may also help any foreigners [rea😛 Americans] understand our complicated naming system for the different areas over here
