Vol.1, No.6, Day 6020

What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well." ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, 1943

Flag said to Eternity...
"You are too vast. Too unfathomable. And you smell of corpses."

Eternity pointed to Presence and said...
"There you go again. Flitting about hither and yon, consumed by the notion of merging with me."

Presence looked up and asked...
"Is that you Eternity? Have you come for me? If you could kindly hold on for a little time more, I still have work to do here."

Flag said to Presence...
"You are too small and too fast. One just barely catches your scent and then it is gone again."

Wind, who was passing by, said to Flag...
"Stop complaining. Without the eternal movements all around you, vast, never-ending, with their source in the cosmos... And without now, without the weave and the dyes and the painstaking careful raising of your standard, you would have neither form nor flutter."

Flag thought that they would continue to wave, but not in order to explain things. Flag nodded thanks to Wind, who was already gone again.
