Recent Happenings - My take

Its been a while since I posted anything in my paper. Apologies.

Firstly let me state my potential alliances here:
Longtime EA member - also served as PP for a significant amount of time
Lifelong IA member - also served as commander for a significant amount of time
Never worked with our current CP or the current IA Commander.
I am a congressman and member of the current "Dublin Commune"

Also, I must point out that I was offline since last weekend so I may not have the full picture, please fill me in if I am missing something obvious.



On my return from my break I was faced with approximately 190+ messages in my commune thread. Interesting I thought. After reading through them I found that there had been an incident, between our CP and IA commander. Normally I wouldn't be bothered, but this time around I felt it necessary to speak up and ask some questions. The response has been shocking. Since I started my questions in the last 24 hours:
Personal attacks in the IA = 2 (since removed by the IA Commander)
Personal attacks in the Commune = 1
Telling me how to behave = 2
Censorship of my questions in the IA = 1 question plus then an entire thread including personal attacks of me by the commander.
Not bad for 24 hours.



So what happened that prompted me to speak up:
The IA Commander demoted our current CP from a Captain role in the IA for breaking a new rule which the IA Commander has placed upon captains. All sounds fair to me except... I have one fundamental question:
When were captains informed of this new rule (which permits captains from removing dead citizens or any citizens from their regiment). Evidence of this, will stop my questions. I'll get back under my rock. Because if all captains were informed of this, then the Commander was correct to act as he did.

However if there is no evidence of this, then its fair enough to say that the rule only existed in the commanders head and that the actions of the commander in demoting and publicly shaming the CP is an obvious attempt to play politics for the upcoming CP elections. This is wrong on so many levels. I hope I'm not correct here.

So to conclude, I have one question:
"When were captains informed of this new rule"
Please provide me with evidence and I will go away.
This is all I asked in the IA Feed, but it was removed by the Commander...



Finally, I have resigned from EA in protest of the Herd mentality which has infiltrated the party. I'm not sure Ian E Coleman would stand by and let this play out as it has. I most certainly wouldn't have stood by either if I was PP. We each have a responsibility to stand up to what we feel is wrong. Therefore if I am wrong, please tell me why.
