-Cheap food. The only resource there is grain, which is to say that the nation's economy is flushed with grain and food companies. Abundant low priced supply + demand = PROFIT. It's totally worth it to have a contact there, just to buy your food.

This is a great opportunity for somebody looking to start up their own business empire. The smaller size of Uruguay means that the market moves at about 1/2 the speed of the larger countries. This makes an ideal environment to learn how to run a business.
