Disappointment = Expectations / Reality

We could learn that disappointment and expectations are tightly coupled and are proportional. The higher the expectations, the bigger the disappointments and vice versa, the lower the expectations, the lesser the disappointments. And that we should perhaps adjust our expectations according to the reality. (Or perhaps lower our expectations totally and not worry, but be happy...?)

So, what would be the amount of expectation that would be realistic?

Setting Realistic Expectations

Thanks to Sisk and his systematic approach to Power Spin we got access to His Erepublik Journey and the valuable data to verify the outcomes of the Power Spin, a mass gambling minigame within eRepublik, that affects the monetary & job market as well as Game Token offers by removing large amounts of currency from the game and appreciates strongly the value of the currency every time it appears in the game.

Since the probability of winning a Jackpot is 4%, the expectation is 25 spins to win a Jackpot. In order to win 500 Gold, you'd need 3 Jackpots in a day, so the expectation is 75 spins in a day to win 500 Gold. However, that will cost you...

The price of 75 spins is 315 Gold, so that means you might even be in a plus financially. Actually, if you sum up all the values of expected rewards, the estimated expected value or all the rewards should be 1196 Gold, meaning you could be 185 Gold in surplus and get some 998 Gold of value in goods and boosters.

Btw. You'll know that you are at 75 spins counter when your Power Spin cost reaches 7900 CC per spin and probably around that time you might expect to win 500 Gold.

For the other 2 Jackpots the expectations are 25 spins mark at 2900 CC per spin (Jackpot 1 - 100% Damage Booster [24 h], estimated to be worth 98.28 Gold) and 50 spins mark at 5400 CC per spin (Jackpot 2 - Energy Center 1000 [7 days], estimated to be worth 14.25 Gold).

And to win 500 Gold in 3 consecutive days, you might expect to burn 3x315 Gold = 945 Gold or 945000 CC in 3 days.

Winning 500 Gold or winning it 3 times, therefore winning the 3x Jackpot Hat-Trick could be compared to beating the lottery system by buying all the tickets, including the winning tickets when the reward is high enough... It's a large and logistically demanding endevour, but can be done... In eRepublik it would be mostly financially demanding... However, the house doesn't like to lose, so they forbade it in different countries and states mostly... I wonder if and how the admins in eRepublik would react in such cases...

So unless you are ready to spend at least 315000 CC (or don't have that amount on your account), you can't expect to win 500 Gold.

Then your goal might be to win Prestige Point Booster and 5x Damage Accelerator in order to have a chance to win a Weekly Challenge perhaps...

However, you need to remember that even when setting realistic expectations for yourself, disappointments are still likely to be expected as there is no guarantee of winning... It's a game of luck after all... However, large numbers and luck should be on your side...

And if you manage to win 500 Gold in less than 75 spins, you might consider yourself lucky.
