20 years next year. I can still very much remember where I was when I first got the news. Another shameful chapter in European history.
A bad chapter in history, and what about the the bombing of Serb factories which resulted in more than 3000 civilian deaths?
Or villages arround srebrenica who were masacard also but no one speaks about that. Also i wish that things like that never happend.

Noooo guys, Serbs are guilty and no one else. Be realistic once !!! Say that Muslims are guilty as least as Serbs are !
Bad history...also we should not forget Bratunac and other villages arround srebrenica who were masacard also.
I guess you can read this article in different ways.
When I saw it I never thought to compare it to other atrocities in order to determine its worth.
As an amateur historian, I like to provide both sides of a story to discourage people from looking for the "good guys". It's a bad habit of humanity. People for example support Palestine/Israel, but when it comes to Sudan where it's not clear what motives are behind genocide and crimes...no one takes interest.
I definitely respect that Wil. But as I said I read this as a homage to the victims. In that perspective your post is political and rather tasteless.
It's the beauty of interpretation. You see a homage to the victims, I see a reason for people to discern themselves with the whole truth so as to keep propagandists and rogue politicians at bay. I may not pay respects directly, but the intent of seeing it in its broadest sense is to prevent that specific atrocity from claiming even more victims.
