However, as almost all of the easy unlockable locations that take 1 h or 2 h to unlock have already been collected, now I am collecting 4 and 8 hour locations, leaving the most challenging 12 hour ones for the end...

My Amazing Maiden Voyage: Day 6 - Energy Centers Continued...



On Day 6 of An Amazing Journey I unlocked and collected 10 new locations:

47. Melbourne [4h]
48. Sapporo [1h]
49. Berlin [2h]
50. Hobart [2h]
51. Brisbane [1h]
52. Tokyo [1h]
53. Cheongju [4h]
54. London [4h]
55. Sacramento [4h]
56. Edinburgh [1h]

Three of these 10 cities (in bold) are being Energy Center locations.
Unlocking new Energy Center locations has been more challenging and more time consuming... More difficult as some paths to Energy Centers are still to be unblocked, and more time consuming as it takes longer to unlock them. I have unlocked the path to Hobart via Melbourne, to Einburgh via London and Brisbane and Tokyo were holding keys of Chengju and I collected all 3 of them. I also managed to unblock the path to Honolulu via Sacramento. And Sapporo and Berlin were just easy wins well worth their prizes, being pretty high on the value-for-your-time priority list.

Anyway, the remaining Energy Centers list has shrunk to this:

My next steps toward this direction will be:

1. Collecting Honolulu and
2. Unlocking path to Iqaluit via Ottawa.

Then all the Energy Center locations will be reachable in a single step and then taking them one by one by prioritizing them by reward to time and amazing coins ratio...

Regarding the 100% Energy from Houses Locations list, it hasn't changed since yesterday.

My Amazing Maiden Voyage: Day 5 - Energy Centers Collecing in Progress...

On Day 5 of An Amazing Journey I unlocked and collected 13 new locations:

34. Patna (IN),
35. Mexicali (MX ),
36. Tehran (IR),
37. Perth (AU),
38. Tromso (NO),
39. Rome (IT),
40. Paris (FR),
41. Bhisho (ZA),
42. Darwin (AU),
43. Santiago de Compostela (ES),
44. Neuquen (AR),
45. Changchun (CN) and
46. Punta Arenas (CL).



It may seem like it's a random list of cities on the world map, but if you take a closer look at it and the related rewards, you could start seeing some patterns here.

So why did I choose these locations?

If you check my previous article from the previous day, title😛
My Amazing Maiden Voyage: Day 4 - Energy Recovered [ERR: 2340 E/h], it becomes more clear.

After maximizing my energy recovery rate as fast as possible, considering my initial location, and in order to advance my progress, now the priority has switched to storing all this lightning fast accumulating energy in as many Energy Centers as possible and to make me more flexible on chosing when and where to spend it, including longer breaks for much needed sleep.

Six of these 13 cities (in bold) are being Energy Center locations and 2 of them (in italic)having bonus +100% Energy from Houses[d]. Changchun having both an Energy Center and +100% Energy bonus from Houses.

So that's actually 7 locations in total that contain either an Energy Center or a bonus +100% Energy from Houses and it's all part of the goal set for the Day 5.

What about the other 6 locations? Why did I choose them?

41. Bhisho (ZA) [1h]
42. Darwin (AU) [2h]
43. Santiago de Compostela (ES) [1h]
44. Neuquen (AR) [4h].

Mexicali is on the shortest route to Honolulu, which contains a 402 Energy Center, so Mexicali brings me closer to Honolulu, although not that much closer, only 1h closer to it, leaving 8 h more to go to it.

Neuquen similarly is on the shortest route to Punta Arenas, which I started unlocked right after unlocking Neuquen.

But what about Tehran, Bhisho and Darwin?
Unlocking them does not make any other new location unlockable...

That's true. They were however being chosen because of their added value to the collected rewards pot.

City Rewards Value

What do I mean by that?

It is possible to calculate and assign a value for each item in the list of rewards for this event and then sum them up for each city, then rank the cities according to the values of their respective rewards. It is then also possible to weigh in the time, as well as to weigh in the Amazing Points since they are limited resources and then prioritize by that. And that is exactly what I have done, making sure to maximize the rewards collected.

Anyway, that makes 46 out of 88 or 52% of all the locations unlocked in the first 5 days. According to my calculations items collected so far contain 79.5% of total rewards value.

1. After collecting all 10 Energy Recovery locations by the end of Day 4, my primary goal for the Day 5 is focused on collecting remaining Energy Centers. Currently 14/21 (66.7% ) of them have been collected, 7 (33.3% ) to go.

2. My secondary goal is collecting remaining Energy pool & Energy recovery bonuses from active houses.
