Look Who is Turning Six!

Today, December 4th, marks my 6th year anniversary in eRepublik.

That I'm here writing this means a few things. The first is that I suck at quitting. I liquidated all my assets, went hogwild mashing the button, hit Titan... and won enough gold and energy bars and everything else to still be here today (what I'm really saying is that even when I decided to burn it all, I still played cautious). I started commenting here and there and the next thing I know, I'm back in Congress.

I had a different idea for an article today, one of the political variety. I almost missed the fact that today marked a birthday, I've missed every single other one by at least a day.

Someone recently said that if their bad behavior made even a single person stick around that would otherwise have quit, then it is all good. I would always balance that with how many more quit early but in essence they are right. Whatever excuse makes people stick around is to the good because ultimately it's only the community that counts.

I'm proud when I hit a milestone... I'm happy when Canada does. I play games to be happy, I can take pride in more important things.
