Thank you note

As a new Cuban congressman, first I want to thank to all the players who voted on our first Cuban elections, the Congress elections. Of course, I'd like to thank the most to the players, who voted for Cuban Socialist Party and who gave us their trust. I hope we all and also I are going to prove to be worthy of your trust and that we all together including also the other parties will build stronger and more prosper Cuba.

Now about my decision on CS grant.
CS Grant

I had at least 5 applicants for a CS on the first day. Some came later, so I took a few more, but I couldn't take them all into considerations as the procedure has already started. Here they are, together with some basic data:

As there were so many candidates who asked me for a CS, I assembled a questionnaire in order to get more info about the applicants so I can make better decision on who to grant CS. I also asked for some advice from the congress members so I've sent them a letter.

I've been stay in the game since long time and the game, lately, is boring.
This is an opportunity to build something from the beginning and recoger the illusion by the game

My account is the number 22 highest strength in all eRepublik

I have three Q7 weapons factories, I can help with some cc for MPP's etc..

I'm serious person, responsible and involved in real life and in eRepublik.
I have a good account that it's necessary in the beginning of Cuba

I'm Spanish real life, I've had Spanish citizenship long time, Poland citizenship long time and Chile citizenship short time

Now I think that Tetas is more organized than others
Aurora has Chile that are as trono country now, the same as Asteria with Argentina and Serbia
Now Sirius (I think) is the worst organized, Poland has his bonus and the others countries doesn't matter, USA help himself and Spain and Croatia are erased
9. Have you ever been a member of PTO team in any other country?
I'm against any kind of PTO, I have never been in any PTO
10. Are you prepared to pledge for allegiance to Cuba?
Yes, of course, that's why I ask the Cuban citizenship
11. What can you offer as a proof of your friendship and loyalty to Cuba?
I can contribute with some money or I can enter in a Cuban military unit (now I'm in one)

My motivation is that I want to help eCuba in all, I wanna help to make eCuba a great country that already are, I can bring all the supports in political as military help, I already donate to eCuba 3000 Q1 breed to help eCuba to defense from attackers and to make in the future an AS, eCuba for my is a beautiful country, I already have been in Cuba (RL) and I think that the people and the cities are beautiful and with great souls

2. I think I can help with some advice, for now I'm not fighting, just work and training.
3. In Ireland I was Deputy Minister of Economy. I would buy only the Cuban market.

The Most Common Answer To the CS Applicants :/

Application for Citizenship of Cuba Results

Dear ______________,
I have to regrettably inform you that your Cuban Citizenship application has not been accepted this time. Due to a very limited Cuban citizenship quota and very large interest for Cuban citizenship (CS), it is not possible to accept all the CS requests. As there are still some congress members, which have a CS to grant, I will recommend the following CS applicants to them for a CS: Luis9601, crosoldier2013, ... I also encourage you to address your plea to them and if your CS application expires, I encourage you to write a new one after 5 days or if all CS quota is filled, to try a new CS application next month. We will consider your previous CS application as a plus for you.

Lobying and temptations

Although there were some lobbying for certain CS applicants from Croatia by my party members and for some Greek applicants by some congress members, there were also some offers for a bribe by several CS applicants, I tried to put Cuban interests in the first place, in front of my personal interests and in front of my party's short term interests.
I still believe that this is the best way to go for Cuba, for my party and for me.

Final CS Rank List

Here is my final rank list for CS applicants based on their level, their answers to the questions and based on their country of application:

Explanation

Mister..X has won the first place after all. Although he offered a bribe, which I refused and also considered as a big minus, he is still a level 107 player, 22nd by the strength in the New World, has 3 Q7 weapon factories and he is also an elite citizen. I believe that Cuba needs strong players. We will definitely need some defense power. However, it is difficult to expect for one player to make a significant difference. Although he is not involved in politics I hope he will prove worthy of my trust.

Luis9601 had the best answers and if he was a bit higher in level and strength, and if my quota was 2 instead of 1, he would also get a CS. He certainly has my recommendations for a CS.

crosoldier2013 although he has strong recommendations from influential people, has not replied to the questions, so I couldn't approve his CS request this time. However, I have recommended him to another congress member and I hope he will get a CS on Cuba. Until then he will still be a valuable member for eCroatian society.

As for the Greek players, although some have won my personal sympathies, and some have offered a bribe (it will not pass with me), due to a sensitive national balance in Cuba, we need to choose carefully. I think that Partido De Cuba has already granted enough CS request for Greek applicants for this month. So, better luck next time.

Some Advice for CS Applicants

Some advice to all the CS applicants; be assertive, I appreciate an initiative. Be respondent and please, don't offer any bribe.

If you really want to help Cuba, think for a moment what would be the best way to help Cuba and make your contribution for the right cause. We need your activity as a player more than your gold. We need your military strength, but even more, we need your diplomatic and journalistic skills. (A few exceptions can occur from time to time, like in this particular case.)

If you have some surplus in gold, help another player on eCuba. If you have plenty of CC or if you are dirty rich, I'm sure that Cuban country treasury will probably need some money for MPPs.

If you have a weapon factory, either donate some weapons during the important battle, or put these weapons at moderate prices on our market. We would not like to exploit your good will, so you don't need to be at loss when selling weapons, everyone should make some profit, just please, be modest if you can. That way we will all be satisfied; you because you make profit, other players because they made a good deal on weapons and got it relatively cheap and the state treasury because there was some tax income for the necessary state expenses including MPPs.

And make new friendships and communicate with others more. This is what makes this game so good! And this is what helps bring down unnecessary barriers between players. Also, learn languages, on eCuba Spanish and English are crucial.

I believe all that could make satisfied people and prosperous society on eCuba.
Public Spending Control

Also, if you donate some money or gold for the common goal, please, do check how that money is spent. It will help keep the trust between the citizens and country administration.

Here is some advice from my past experience as a congress member in Egypt; don't let players in country administration be tempted too much with out any control, it's so easy to fall.

And after all we are all human, we all make mistakes and it is human to be erroneous. Just, don't let that happen too easy, too often and too much. The same applies to the congress members. Just, don't get greedy. You are not there for your own sake, but for all the eCubans. Keep that in mind.
