France Wiped Out, U.S. Advancing Into Britian

Day 811, 17:05 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

Sorry about my recent absence, between the erep media bugging and my computer having problems of it's own I've been having trouble getting articles out but I should be able to get back to regular articles now.

On Sunday EDEN made two major victories that greatly improved the chances of a total conquest of the United Kingdom. First the U.S. was able to tank down the wall in Upper Normandy which took out France's last region, then the American invasion of Southeast England proved successful and the fourth British region fell to the U.S.. The U.S. has since launched other attacks into the U.K., however most EDEN forces are taking it easy today to recover from beserking yesterdays battles.

The fall of Upper Normandy hurt Phoenix the most since it really took out the only support the U.K. had in Western Europe. Now there will be nobody nearby to help block or divert damage away from Spain and Poland and EDEN won't have to worry about France attacking EDEN held regions in Britain. Whether or not EDEN can keep its grip on France all depends on who controls the region on the 25th. If EDEN could hold onto all of the French regions for long enough they could prevent France from electing a new congress then if they could just hold the regions on the 5th of March they would prevent France from electing a president to. This would prevent France from signing any MPPs and leave them wide open to attack for at least a month, however due to the amount of time EDEN would have to control France this isn't too likely to happen.

Still the elimination of France is great for Spain as France has always been a bit of a thorn in their side. It also served as a nice dose of revenge for when France completely conquered Spain last summer. Spain deserves a lot of credit for the results of this last battle as they donated a substantial amount of gold to tanks of all different countries to win a battle that they didn't stand to gain any new regions from. Right now France's former regions are split up between the U.S., Spain, and Poland, having them split up this way makes it easier for EDEN to hold onto the regions as the possible resistance fighters won't all be able to fight in the same battle without moving.

EDEN is also making gains in Britain. With the Swedish winning a battle that started out as a blocking attack and the Americans taking southeast things aren't looking too good for the Brits. EDEN also gained quite a few regions by the U.K. retreating battles in what appeared to be an attempt to downsize their country. While giving up regions may make it appear like the U.K. is losing it really isn't that bad of a strategy. For one having less regions means less enemies at your borders, this makes it so they don't have to worry about 5 EDEN nations ganging up on them and splitting their damage across so many battles. It also made it so Norway and Canada had to declare war on each other after the U.K. retreated Scotland to Canada, this was necessary in order for Norway to take Scotland and continue their advance. Since then Norway has taken Northern Ireland and Scotland has been returned to Canada.

Also I would like to encourage everyone who is not currently in the U.S. military to join up with Easy Company. For those of you who don't know what Easy Company is it is a militia run by the Federalist party that has expanded into the AAP and the DemReps. EC is looking for active citizens of any strength who aren't currently in the military (TC is ok though) to help fight for the U.S. without having to be in the army. Over the past few months we have seen the value of private militias and despite not receiving much funding from the government they still do a considerable amount of damage. Best of all you don't even have to be a Federalist to join, just fill out this form below.
