Finding Balance: eGreece's Pursuit of Neutrality Amid Asteria's Uncertainty
Citizen Erased
It's been approximately 10 days since eGreece declared its neutrality status.
In my view, this decision was long overdue and inevitable given our country's circumstances.
As a citizen of eGreece (disregard my current Slovakian CS), my primary concern has always been the prosperity of our nation and its players. I've consistently opposed Greek players targeting each other, striving instead to foster unity in pursuit of prosperity.
Returning to the game after a 6-7 month hiatus, I found eGreece repeatedly on the brink of being wiped out. Seeking clarity, I gathered opinions, though often conflicting. Ultimately, I formed my conclusions based on the information I received.
During my previous active period, Greece and Code had some form of cooperation, which I didn't observe this time. Our leaders voiced prolonged complaints, frustration mounted, and it seemed we received little to no assistance. eGreece appeared to be a pawn in CODE's strategies, primarily used to open RWs and provide damage, a reality I reluctantly accepted.
We're no longer the formidable nation we once were. Constant battles for our freedom have depleted our strength, a big amount of our tanks is now inactive, with many former financial backers no longer in the game. It's understandable that we're not a high priority for an alliance.
The decision to embrace neutrality seemed like a potential solution—a means to escape the relentless pressure from our adversaries, allowing our players some respite and rediscovered enjoyment in the game. And I still believe it could be.
However, it's a harsh reality for us Greeks to accept that achieving true neutrality won't happen overnight. Building trust with our former enemies will be a protracted process, as they bear deep scars from past conflicts with eGreece.
Asteria won't release us easily; they'll extract every last advantage before considering any agreement. They'll seek more resources and territorial wins to bolster their strength further.
Asteria, however, must also come to terms with the reality that our strength cannot simply revert to its former levels. The revival of our strength relies on a unified effort from players who are ready to commit a substantial amount of money to the game once again.
It's disheartening to see not all Greek players are aligned on this path. While some doubt neutrality, I struggle to envision an alternative. Yet, it's natural for those accustomed to fighting alongside certain allies of the past for years, to find it harder to change than others.
Change is challenging, but sometimes necessary and inevitable. This might be our sole opportunity to shift away from perpetual warfare, to rebuild our nation and forge new bonds with our now-neutral friends, like Turkey and Chile
As we embark on this new chapter of neutrality, I am hopeful that our former enemies and allies will come to understand and respect our decision. While the path ahead may be challenging, it also presents an opportunity for reconciliation and mutual understanding.
By embracing neutrality, we seek not only to rebuild our nation but also to forge new bonds and partnerships based on cooperation and shared goals. Let us look towards the future with optimism, confident that through dialogue and goodwill, we can pave the way for a brighter tomorrow for all players of eGreece.
Thank you,
Eugene.

Well said.
As suggested it was a long overdue decision..

maybe it would be good to start with small steps towards your full neutrality.
Yes it would be good to do that.
I've been kept informed of the discussions between our leader and Asteria HQ and i cant help but agree with your point of view of things.
We want whats best for us, you want whats best for you while also keeping a short leash cause of the justified trust issues.
But these small steps are a hard pill to swallow for eGreeks and their pride. But if we come to terms with the reality we are facing and take the first step, then maybe we can get out of this sooner, rather than later.
But that is a big "if"
good article, wise words and its a stance that was long overdue for e-greece.
It was a decision that must have been taken long time ago. The damage of eGreece gone almost 3 years ago..
I don’t know what "we" were waiting all this period..
From the other side, the enemies have to recognise that eGreece became a country (as you said to your article) with no calculable damage that can affect negatively the enemies. The best choice was to stay neutral, like most countries did lately, it’s a new "trend" let’s say. This is happening because there’s a big gap between countries of Asteria and CODE and you can imagine the reason. We are not here forever, players coming and leaving. Others faster, others later.
Neutrality doesnt exist. Be an Asterian puppy and they will allow you some TW's, original regions. But if your guys doesnt hit asterian side in a "real" war, they will punish the "neutral" country.
So doesnt matter you are inside CODE alliance or leave. If you don't dance as they whistle, you're screwed.
Are the out of CODE but still against Asteria?

And that opinion alone doomed eHun for eternity. You wont leave CODE even when eHUN will be the last and only nation in it. You never want to negotiate with any1 from the ither side, that small minded attitude wont lead you anywhere, U just failing to see that, or if you do, you dont care, cause being a Croatian puppet is better.
In the end, it is often the case that those who are on the right side of history emerge victorious. Throughout history, many leaders who have acted as tyrants have ultimately faced defeat.

things will change now that Jacob has returned
Short version: now that the alliance doesn't have enough damage to protect us when we farm in peace, we have to find new means to farm in peace!1
Croatian puppet or neutral, no wonder neutral is better.
You literally hit somewhat less than 30 million against Romania in an air epic and still trying to convince anybody you're walking down the 'neutral' path?
Not to mention that happened 24 hours after Slovakia published an article how they will not involve in any further conflicts.
eGreece deserves to remain wiped until the end of server.
dude, im Greek and no longer involved in Slovakian Gov in any way. Whats wrong with doing 30 million damage for my country?
My cs in game is slovakian now, but thats because Nathan5 asked me to help him during his Presidency in an attempt to try and make Slovakia follow a neutral path to which i agreed thanks to all the help and damage Nathan has done for Greece in the past.
But since a couple weeks ago he gave the presidency to Jozef Danko and i basically retired my position from the cabinet and in the next day or so i will return to GR citizenship.
Nathan5 was the CP at that time and the damage against Romania was done by you two. As I said, just a day after he claimed Slovakia will remain neutral and uninvolved in foreign conflicts.
Just goes on to prove your hypocrisy even more and why you shouldn't be given a chance at all
theres no point to try and explain furthuer i think this particular situation. You clearly have your point of view which i can argue with you all day why it is not correct but if you did some research on that and have an objective view of things then we might be able to discuss. but it is clearly not going to happen now.

Good luck
but for me neutrality is stupid in game
its not farmville but anyone can choose their own path I guess

Thanks for the thanks for help protecting your cores and fighting for you while we could
Many people helped us in the past and we owe them, but correctly stated code is weakened and we have been clearly a low priority
Owe them what?
@ a lot of battles in gr cores
@ low prio
did you take logic courses from Azem maybe?
Well Azem said that GR has been a more focus for CODE than all the countries who deserved way more focus and help than GR, such as Chileans etc etc 🙂
"Low Priority" is just a made up reason why they left CODE, but the truth is "CODE is WEAKENED"
If eGreece is going to be neutral like echile and eturkey better not to take this way
So we spent countless hours/euros for Greece, only to beg those cheap exploiters to respect our neutrality and become their puppets, lol.
Neutrality is a shame and instead of advertising it and crying, the government can just send a message to Asteria and ask what will be the process to consider us neutral.
I agree with the article.

A few days ago a new similar game started, look at it, the game deserves your attention.

Hello friends, a few days ago a new game was launched. Without entering into a long writing. Worth !!! The admins together with the players discuss what to do and agree with the players... It's worth a try. https://tinyurl.com/4rnjf7cc
