eUK: a nation of merchants.

United Kingdom, the real one, was always inventive and dynamic. Always it was eager to commerce and to bring wealth to the British Isles.
In fact, along with Netherlands, United Kingdom was the first one to make sea commerce a distintive advantage. It was Henry VIII who understood that it was wiser to use French peasantry to feed an industrial UK.
This "merchantilism" was the beginning of Modern Age and the begin of the end of Feudalism, which is kind of *familiar* for us.
So, we need to stop trying UK government be another DUCHY, and start commerce and investment. How ? :
- Selling and reselling raw materials and weapons in the markets.
Setting "commerce agents" to buy Raw materials at lowest prices : easy. It'd be an army of merchants, to have the most competitive prices in UK.
We could set "commercial embassies", where using ebritish with a foreign ecitizenship, or even "commercial spies" dumping lower prices in "enemy" markets. This ones would sell weapons or foods, using their licences for selling, "under" or out cover.
On the other hand, BEF would get to a shrink of investment, instead, it'd use money and
gold to increasing commerce investments. I'm sorry for blackmarket people, they will be wiped.
There're many ways to serve eUK and the real one won by commercing.
APPARENTLY PEOPLE HAS NO TIME TO DO COMMERCE IN SERVICE OF THE GOVERNMENT, BUT THEY HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO DO FOR THEIR VERY OWN PRIVATE POCKETS:

myself, right now, I buy FRM in China by 0.02 and I sell it at eUK by 0.03 or 0.04, 50% margin.
Let's replace "I" by "eUK", eUK buy FRM in China by 0.02.... ( can you continue...)
Multiply this "transactions" and widen the range of trade to weapons and food ( using selling licenses or expat who want to collaborate/work for eUK) and you got it.

It's a game in which people play for personal enjoyment, once it becomes a chore rather then a place to escape them they tend to stop playing.
