ECM MikeBane: The Bigger Picture

Day 1,921, 11:58 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish William Wallace

Some of you who are more observational than others will notice that the title of this article does not say "CP Committee", no, this article is solely my own opinion and what I need to say about what's going on. I hope you all read with open eyes and ears and for those involved step back for a moment and listen too.

The Irish flag, bratach na hÉireann, the Irish tricolour. You know behind each color there lies a meaning. Green to symbolize our Gaelic pride, a common heritage with each other and reference to our culture. Orange, for the followers of William the Orange who invaded England and ruled all of Britain and Ireland. And lastly, in the middle, we have white.

What does the "white" represent?

An aspiration for peace between us all. It further represents the aspiration for peace with Eire and British nations. But right now we are internally not at peace, which is typical of us. But why do you think eIreland has never been able to achieve great things? Our population size is one reason yes. But we have a knack for lifting more weight than we're expected, we seem to blow big punches for such a small nation.

Why then have we not achieved more? Bear with me my brothers and few sisters, it is because we have not let go of our petty internal political struggles. It is because one faction or the other does something just to sabotage their political enemies. Whose side are you on? Are you working for or against eIreland?

I am positive a few will post negative comments below and only further this problem. There are some who say our internal battles makes us stronger, but clearly it only keeps destroying what progress we make. Our treasury has been robbed several times, political parties PTO'd, good players leaving because of this idiotic blabber at each other. It's been almost 2 and a half years for me now. What happened to the eIreland I knew after the December Wipe of 2010? The reconstruction of eIreland that beamed as the pinnacle of eIrish unity! We united and freed our lands, unified our military, and our politics were progressive at best.

I am going to stop writing now and continue providing this country with security not just of external threats but internally as well. It is time to bring back eIrish unity; now is the time to realize that we are all eIrish and we ALL are united as citizens of this great, yet struggling, eNation.

Sincerely Eire's,
Executive Committee Member MikeBane
