CODE - NEUTRAL? White Flag or False Flag?

If you take a look at the CODE page, you'll see this:

Apparently CODE has changed its name to NEUTRAL.
Looks like surrender and waving the White Flag.
Will now we all live in peace?

Or is it trolling?
Or a false flag operation?
Or a deception?
Not sure...

However, if you take a look at the most of CODE member countries, you'll see this:

And as it's not that easy to find them on the map, however, you could still try to trevel to one of them and then you could also see this:

France

Bosnia & Herzegovina

Uruguay

Slovenia

Argentina

Albania

Hungary

Russia

To conclude:
Croatia - No Resources, Deleted
Argentina - No Resources, Deleted
Uruguay - No Resources, Deleted
Slovenia - No Resources, Deleted
Bosnia & Herzegovina - No Resources, Deleted
Russia - Still Standing, 1 Region, No Resources
France - Still Standing, 1 Region, No Resources
Hungary - Still Standing, 1 Region
Albania - Still Standing, 3 Regions

Out of 9 CODE country members, 5 are currently wiped out from the map, 7 are left without any resources, 2 are left on 1 region and 1 of them is holding 3 regions. And if they are not wiped out of the map, they are at least economically dead. Technically 4 of them are still holding, namely Albania, Hungary, Russia and France. And out of these 4 that are still technically standing, only Hungary and Russia are holding 1 od their core regions. Albania took refuge in 3 Sweden's core regions and France took refuge in an Albanian region.

However, all that it's not that surprising...
There is a Spring Event currently going on and huge amount of damage points are being dealt.
And every time when the weather is nice, when the people from the CODE are mostly traveling and enjoying their time, there is some crazy eRepublik event with crazy amount of treats and then Asteria goes crazy for about a week or so...
Remember one of my previous articles from the last Summer?
Summertime in Croatia | Weather Forecast for eHR | Where to Move Your Companies?
It was similar like these days...
Still, let's analyze it a bit...

The Great Imbalance

The balance between Asteria and CODE has been broken a long time ago, perhaps even before the USA left, leaving CODE constantly on defense...
Since then it has been like a game of toppling the dominoes.

The damage ratio is probably between 5 to 1 and 10 against the Code, which can be calculated from the Sky Hero medals being collected every month on each side. The ratio is 10 to 1 in Asteria countries favor.

And in non-training wars battles just around 51:49 in Asteria's favor.

Asteria strategy?

It's the Weakest Link strategy. Asteria is constantly bullying a country until it breaks and has enough of being constantly wiped out...

Since then CODE has lost more than 10 country members...
The only difference is that the pressure has become stronger and the members are leaving faster...

What's the Weakest Link country's stragegy?

Mostly to survive.
And in order to survive, they either change side or become neutral.

CODE Strategy?

Earlier? The CODE's strategy was quite the opposite...
If you won't join them, beat them!

As earlier the CODE strategy relied on big spenders to compensate for the lack in strength and numbers.

So it was something like this:

And now or until today at least?
The CODE's strategy resembled more like to the Black Knight strategy from The Monty Python Holy Grail also known as "It's just a flesh wound", which was more and more obvious with each leaving CODE country member.

And from now on?

Heavily outnumbered, trying to defend as much as possible, patiently collecting the energy bars, weapons & food stock and waiting to strike back.

However, since cheating mostly goes unpunished, thus rewarded by buying strong accounts of disappointed CODE players leaving the game, it doesn't make sense to invest in this corrupt game...

So what is the alternative?

Somebody said it's the lack of courage on CODE side...

Well, it's not about that...
I'd say that the situation today in 2024 in eRepublik is similar to that in Ukraine today in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Courage has little to do with manpower, logistics and resources...

So it's not the lack of courage, Code has plenty, perhaps just the lack of organization... And definitely the lack of people...

CODE and Balls

So it's not about growing balls, CODE has big ones and in general, being on the weaker side takes more courage than being on the side of a bully.

The result?

Resignation and boredom results in a dying game. A game that had a great potential and which was played by more than 200,000 players 10 years ago now has less than 35000.

That's loss of 82.5% of players. And at the current rate this game loses between 1800 and 2000 players on average each year. That's a population loss of more than 5% per year.

You can do the math on when eRepublik population might halve again...

Still, there is hope and there is still one thing we can do...

And congrat's Asteria, you won!
At least until the end of this week and the end of this event...

So don't worry, we'll get back on the map as soon as the Spring Break is over... As most people with the RL have better things to do than waste time on this game... At least until it becomes more fun...

Happy Springtime!

Sincerely yours,
Janko Fran o7
