Christmas is here and its all lies!!!
Count Drakula
As your reading this firstly i'd like to say this is all true there are no lies contained.
Christmas is lots of lies but worth it. I mean who hates presents. Chirtmas is jesus birthday.
True?
False. Christians stole a roman day for worshiping the sun and he wasn't even born on 0 A.D. He was born during a roman census which is there were no rooms available. There were censuses on 6C.E. and 8A.D. Choose your favourite.
Most carols are lies. "Away in a manger. No crib for a bed" True there was no crib in the cave. Yes he was born in cave because Davids house was too overcrowded to fit him and his other 6 children. "Hark the herald angels sing". No angels around. The reporters in greek wrote about angelos but that translates as messangers. That is scrouge for you. I'm not like him I'm more like a Stephen Fry.

Don't tell me Santa never got stuck up the chimney,i don't think i could take another let down!
All of Religion is a lie, why would the birth of one of the most important religious figureheads be any different?
Well, this article offends people, so I would remove it.
@ Squiddy
Actually it has been proven that jesus kind of did walk on the lake. It has a period were most of it is ice but theres a thin layer of water so it looks like your walking on water
yeah it's just provocative and trolling, trying to start a flame war
"I'm not like him I'm more like a Stephen Fry."
I hope that was CONSCIOUSLY ironic.
From what I understand, Christians picked the date because so they could relate the new practice to their converts, therefore softening the blow. So? Religions in history have done it. Ask any educated Christian and they won't deny there's some discrepancy over Christ's birth.
@ indiekid
Its not trolling its the truth if anybody has a problem with it up with god or the such godly figures...
Christians picked the feast of saturn(Saturnalia)the 25th December because christians were being procecuted at the time and all christian festivals were outlawed by the romans.
Some smart guy came up with the idea of celebrating Jesus's birthday on the same date of a roman festival so they wouldnt draw attention to themselves, hey presto, Christmas Day.
