As the Federalist Party Presidential Primary closed, a second unauthorized candidate was found to have declared their candidacy for the upcoming election. A cursory investigation revealed that golance was in fact a Hungarian, and was associated with the Hungarian military. In addition to this threat to the Federalist Party, Hungarian PTO candidates were discovered in the other four top 5 parties as well. The USWP is threatened by rodneey86, who accepted the citizenship of a number of other Hungarians while serving in congress. The ADTP is under threat from elektr4, whose battle history demonstrates allegiance to penix and should not be elected despite the female avatar. The UIP is threatened by Tomas Papay, with a similarly treacherous battle history. SEES is threatened by vareyz, who is the candidate who was elected to the presidency of the Democratic Republican Party when they were PTOed and destroyed in April.



The Federalist Party has chosen to respond to this threat by narrowing down our traditional two candidates to only one. Usually, the Federalist Party Presidential Primary selects two candidates who receive the most votes to contest the election in-game to determine the winner under the best possible circumstances for turnout. Considering the threat of a PTO against all five of the top eUS parties, Qubert18 and JDR1986 both agreed to settle the election through a forum vote. This will allow loyal members of the Federalist Party to defend the election from the Hungarian PTO and maintain votes in reserve to assist other top 5 parties should such assistance be required. The forum vote selecting the officially endorsed candidate was open all day today, August 14th, for as long as possible to ensure that as many of our members as possible were given the opportunity to vote. As the evening drew to a close and the respective candidates needed to log off for the evening, the poll was be closed and whichever candidate was trailing resigned their candidacy and endorsed the winner for the in-game election on the 15th.

Any other candidates remaining on the ballot are PTO candidates and should not be voted for to preserve the integrity of the Federalist Party and the eUS. Please hold your PP votes as long as possible and check the Federalist Party Organization's shouts, the Federalist IRC Channel, or the Federalist Party forums for voting instructions to ensure that the Federalist Party, Broatia, and the other top 5 eUS parties are ALL safe from Hungarian or penix PTO attempts.
