Apocalypse of The New World

Day 1,299, 18:43 Published in United Kingdom Norway by Major Lee Hung

Soo after receiving this cool message yesterday that Plato has once again extended my loyalty program for another month (In case they hadn't noticed I stopped buying gold a while back) it reminded me I haven't trolled Erepublik enough recently.

In the last week...

-Productivity was once again increased, meaning I needed to use the rest of my loyalty points on another 20k storage thing.

-The forums were closed because apparently Erepublik developers know better than the players and don't need to hear our ideas. (u mad forum mods?!)

Speaking your mind = 1 Forfeit Point, apparently the moderators all live in North Africa or the Middle East and have never been taught what freedom is.

-Health was increased, but like I predicted, there was some element of spending gold involved to reap the full benefit. (Owning a Q2 weapon company just to upgrade to level 5, derp)

Paid healthcare, my favourite! While most countries try to get rid of it, Erepublik is encouraging it, but hey, backwards motion is just how they roll.

-The People's Communist Party have finally scored a victory, in that Communism has been enforced by completely removing work skill. Remember when the developers said they like to reward people for playing longer? (You better remember because the evidence was deleted along with the rest of the forum) well, now somebody who has played for 2 years and invested tons of gold in boosters earns exactly the same as the poor soul that joined this waste yesterday.

This was possibly done in light of more recent Communist celebrations. Apparently we can celebrate communism but they deleted my ideas for implementing National Speak Like a Pirate Day.

-Jamesw was elected as PM, meaning that much of this side of the world is now doomed to the eUK's imperial rule.

-Game staff have been very quiet lately, which seemed to start happening ever since this job appeared in the 'Jobs' section. (Maybe they realised Erepublik is screwed and have now decided to move to making the next Farmville (Eremarville, Farmrepublik, whatever they wanna call it!))

-The population in the whole game has continued to remain stagnant. This seems to contradict the fact that everybody is quitting, yet according to the main page, activity is rising. For that we can probably blame bots of fabricated activity numbers.

Quite some interesting developments as you can see. Changing things that people actually liked and replacing them with more crap. I don't know the logic behind the Erepublik team's ideas, but they have some serious problems.

Social Strategy game? The social part has been removed alongside the forums and the very heavy moderation of articles and shouts. The strategy part was removed with all of the fun economic module things that now cease to exist. (Infact, an economy as a whole currently ceases to exist as it appears)

So, I think its safe to say that after four years, they're finally 'putting Erepublik to bed' as it seems to be more of an experiment for their next projects rather than something they're putting focus into.

To all those 'tanks' who spent thousands of Euros a month on Erepublik because you can't get laid in real life, fear not! Rather than spending £0.25 on every click you do in a battle all day, you can hire a hooker for a tenth of the cost all day instead and completely solve your lack of getting laid problems. Everybody wins.
