[UKPP] Who?
WayneKerr
A lot has been said lately, internally about the direction UKPP has been going these past 4-5 months. All of a sudden the path laid down by arguably the greatest and most respected PP of UKPP, Garth Lidlington, is no longer good enough. Certain sections of the party, these self styled 'radicals' see UKPP as being too 'moderate' nowadays, that we (the party) have been cosying up the community too much, becoming too involved.
So my question for UKPP, both 'moderate' and 'radical' is a simple one:
'What does The UKPP offer the eUK?'
Who are we, who do we represent, what are our ideals as a party, and what is so different to the party of old compared to the party of new?
UKPP will be celebrating it's one year anniversary this month, a lot has changed since the early days of UKPP. A lot of hostiltly towards our party as all but ceased to exist and a begruding respect has been eked out of those that at one time wished to see the movement fail. We owe it not only to ourselves as a party, but to the eUK as a whole to answer this question!
So once again, 'What does The UKPP offer the eUK?'

Great idea and sincerely important to the UK as a whole.
Also, dem some tasty graphics. Where you get them?
I believe the radicals have forced the party to take steps back. In Garths and my time as PP we became involved and respected in the UK. We had a good congress showing and good congressmen, a legitimate CP campaign with PCP and a lot of other activity in the eUK as a whole. Feels now like the work of all of us in the UKPP has been ruined by certain individuals
what do you have to offer ? Some pictures and a nice logo ? and TUP-ergy ?
Who are the individuals Richard?
well those that are the self styled 'radicals'. I will say who they are but they will just be seen as the originals and creaters of the UKPP and so it 'should be theres to do as they wish' (Not how it should be IMO) Those such as Nick, Slack etc
why so?
What does the UkPP offer the uk? Good question at the moment nothing. The party needs to sit down an discuss what they actually believe. Update the old manifesto and get to the heart of what the members nos stand for. Whether moderate or radical the party cant stay divided.
@richard Feist alfa is disapointed as wayne used to be very much ob the radical side but is becoming more moderate as time goes on.
While I agree with your first statement AW, I disagree heavily with the second. While I no longer throw excrement around like a deranged chimp at anything TUP/UKRP related, I'm still very much against the status quo. Whether being able to sit down with my political enemies and intelligently debate a subject infers that I'm a moderate, I'll leave that for outsiders to determine. I've always done my best for the people that UKPP represent.
Next month, a TUP-UKPP coallition, with TUP-Ergy as CP ad you, Wayne, as a vCP (with Talon in some nice post and Kravenn-all-the.time-there , and some other TUP blokes) , sounds great. Let other intelligent rot in the shadows ( Huey, PCP,... ). Great game where five players play all the rounds and pretend the other watch and cheer them up.
TUP Governments have offered me several roles, all of which I have turned down. I have no desire on seats in Government, all I give is my opinion.
UKPP have supported TUP candidates twice in the 7 months I have been playing. The first time was March 2012, PP was Sir Nick in support of Talon, the second was April 2012 when Alfagrem left UKPP and we couldn't change it over. Weird how I am the TUP lover in all of this. Not once since Apr have UKPP supported a TUP candidate!
I fail to see where I have stated Sir Nick as a radical representative.
This is a question to the whole of UKPP, not just those wishing to be PP. I wanna hear from our member base. After all those wishing to lead should at least have some idea what the party represents.
Voted.
I am still a relatively new member of the party and I am still trying to familiarise myself with the party so I don't think it is my place to answer these questions, however, I look forward to seeing what others have to say. : )
Wayne: It was Richard who named Sir Nick as being the radical...
I think the one thing that has been apparent during the months that Sir Nick took a backseat is that co-operation and negotiation has happened between the UKPP and the other parties... I think the party had become more votable in the eyes of the neutrals...
And Sir Nick has a certain, how can I put it, a "Us verses them" aggressive style... The fact is, insulting basically anyone's views who aren't of the UKPP will alianate
the party from those who'd otherwise give us a vote or see us as a valid alternative party to join to the TUP... There is only so much gold in the coffers to bribe people to vote...
I think it is important to find common ground with other parties and to work with them where applicable rather than declare war because not all their policies agree with the UKPP.
Once again Mr Knee has hit the nail on the head...
We need to intelligently defeat our rivals with well thought out plans that appeal to the masses, not just smear them at every opportunity. Hate will only get the party so far until it becomes detrimental.
Mr Knee for PP \o/
I agree with that Wayne and Mr Knee 🙂
Good article Wayne, i know you arent interested but i'll carry on saying it - you'd be an excellent CP
Many, many people including myself, would disagree with you there Hugh.
But you say something for long enough and with enough conviction, it many finally start to be a truth 😛
