[UKGov] Interview with the UK Vice President

Day 1,671, 03:16 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office
This morning I (Max Blue) carried out an interview with the Vice President of the UK (BigAnt). My questions are posted in bold. I started by asking for a couple of words on himself...

Hello! My name is BigAnt and I am a current Vice President of UK and Party President of the political party ESO. In real life I work on the Typhoon fighter jet, I love my queen and country. I am just a normal guy and my mind is never far from women, booze and football 😛

1. What plans are you currently working on to improve and update how the UK runs?

As this months Vice President my job is to help run the ship when jamesw is away or busy, but also to help improve elements of government which need attention. This has unfortunately been the case this month with a number of people not performing to the standard I would expect from a minister, thus changes have been made and unless things improve further changes may occur.

As for our future plans, we are working on changing the UK MU system to allocate Division 1-4 fighters and become a more efficient fighting unit. We are also working on improving the NHS and our mentoring system to help reach more new players. As for communication, plans are still afoot to test skype, and see how the reaction is for that as the IRC can be complicated for some new players to understand.

2. What does a day in the life of the Vice President look like?

I would imagine a normal Vice president jobs is rather easy, watching what is happening and stepping in where extra support is needed. For me this has been the case and more, I have replaced staff and also moved into MoHA to help give extra support and help the new ministers get settled. But also We have daily reports to contend with and making sure all our staff are happy. Also wherever a kick is needed I am there to provide that extra motivational push. Being Vice president also means I have a large input and that means if I see something that can be improve I am in the position to see it gets improved. I usually clock off around 12/1am every night and I think James stays up longer \o/

3. How can people get involved in helping the United Kingdom?

Firstly become an efficient worker and support our government. Ideally as a citizen you would have IRC access and be signed up to the forums, these are the platforms we use daily to communicate with other staff and get stuff done. Without joining this, I am afraid it becomes very difficult assigning jobs to people. But if you have the right attitude and want to invest a little time to help eUK, please contact myself or jamesw about becoming an official helper for our government. We welcome any help and it could be an opportunity for YOU to impress us.

Kind Regards,
BigAnt
Vice President
