[STATS]The Declining Electorate
Rory Winterbourne
This article will look at the eUK voting figures for the past year, concentrating on the last few months and looking at the effect V2 has had on voter turnout.

The release of V2 at the beginning of July marks the steady decrease in the number of voter with Augusts Congress elections having only 389 voters.
Close up of the last 3 months (black line = linear trendline with 2 month forecast).
Although this shows a total departure of all players within two months, it is highly unlikely to happen but who knows. The trend seems to be worldwide.

Percentage comparison of eUK vs top 5 countries over the last 3 months (Congress and Presidential election combined)
The eUK comes out marginally better than the top 5 countries combined, although it doesn’t take into account all the Polish multis that have been removed from the game recently (if many of them have).
The future is bright!

Good work
My studies are only prelimenary at the moment, but I think its safe to say maddog_jones is to blame.
Nice. Yet depressing.
I am now stronger than Ireland
bring back Churchill!
Get rid of the trendline. They have never accurately proven anything even in real life.
Many of the citizens who left due to the difficulty the game has increased (and less so but also relevant the harder it is to multi now), is the biggest reason for the decline, and this WILL stabilise, and then start growing upwards again as new players join the game.
Many of the players who left did so because erepublik was no longer the game they started playing, it changed. This isn't the case for players who join postV2.
Classical misue of statistics. You have studied the effects but not the cause.

I like.
I blame Jamesw. I thought he was the official scapegoat for everything that went wrong.
