The Socialist Freedom Party has endorsed Dinnyin for CP for the month of December 2019. It's apparent to us that he's a player that brings a lot of experience to the table. He's been a loyal eAmerican citizen for years - contributing what he can when it's needed. We're proud to support his bid for CP this month. You can see his announcement article here.

To help the cause, we decided to reach out for an interview. Dinnyin happily agreed, and I had the pleasure of talking with him on Discord on behalf of the Socialist Freedom Party. Below is our conversation:

SFP's Interview with CP Candidate Dinnyin
Dillon
To begin – can you tell us a little about your history in eUSA government for readers who may not be familiar with your record? What kind of experience do you bring to the table that’s different from the alternatives this election cycle?

Dinnyin
Well, unlike Mr. CG I have been active in government for years. Pretty much since I started playing this game over 7 years ago.
Instead of trying to undermine the system that was in place and siding with some nefarious characters, I decided to join a group of individuals who were dedicated to keeping eUSA on the map, and establishing her as a powerhouse in the global community.

My resume is pretty well published on my profile. I've done just about everything, except being Country President.

Dillon
I'm glad you brought that up. I'm familiar with SOME of the shadowy past of our current CP - mostly as it pertains to his involvement with PTO attempts of my party, the SFP. Would you care to elaborate on anything in particular?

Dinnyin
Well, not to shift the focus of this article to him, but he has partnered with Ajay, aka Pizza the Hut, Ronald Gipper Reagan (a known enemy of the state), etc to attempt multiple PTOs on the eUSA over the years. Usually with the help of Serbian influencers.

Most recently, after leaving the eUSA and seeking citizenship somewhere else, he desired to return but as he was listed as an Enemy of the State due to his involvement with Ajay and the attempted PTOs mentioned above, he was not permitted to come back.

So he created or purchased an account which already had eUSA citizenship and managed to get it into Congress whereby he granted himself eUSA citizenship against the established IES regulations.

So, in short, he's a know liar, cheat, and all around nogoodnick.

Dillon
Thank you for that brief overview - quite enlightening. Now back to your candidacy: So, let’s talk domestic policy. The two major programs that most eAmericans are familiar with is the AARP (free food) and the Derpy Dividend (free money).

AARP is a long-standing program, but the Dividend is something relatively new and, to my understanding, on a trial run. How do you think the Dividend has been working out? Would you work with Congress to authorize more funds to continue the program?

Dinnyin
The dividend was a good program and I think the trial was successful at attracting the type of attention Congress wanted. I have already been in discussions with the Secretary of Citizen's Affairs to roll out a program as soon as I am elected which will give our citizens easier access to their tax dollars and ease the administration of all the domestic programs.

I think the players deserve to get back as much as we can provide them, especially in times of relative peace.

Dillon
It definitely helps new/poorer players start to build up on their companies and training grounds!

Dinnyin
Well, we have some plans to work on getting newer players involved in the economy and take some of the strain off of the average citizen.

Dillon
Are there any details ready to discuss concerning "eas[ing] the administration of all the domestic programs"? I know there've been whispers of merging AARP and the Dividend into the same feed post. Any news on that?

Dinnyin
Nothing that I can discuss at the moment, but I do intend to work closely with Congress to give the people easier access to their funds, and relieve as much of the strain of administration as we can. It is certainly a no-brainer that you would want to provide as much value with as little overhead as possible. It's just good business sense.

Dillon
Well I'm looking forward to seeing it come to fruition!

Let's move on to foreign policy. The previous term has seen a number of attempted invasions on the eUSA. Some as a direct response to our foreign policy (eUK) and some due to conflicts in the past (eSweden). We’ve been in two “hot” conflicts with Asteria – an attempted eSwedish invasion and a fight with ePeru in South America. Is Asteria making a play to attack the eUSA? If so, are we prepared to fight it off with our allies in CODE?

Dinnyin
I think everyone is just looking for a little fun. It comes in spurts, especially when we've been in a glorified "Farmville" scenario for quite some time now.

Dillon
Haha, that's fair!

Dinnyin
Asteria is a powerful alliance, there's no doubting that.

What we have seen though is that our CODE alliance member, Croatia, really stuck it to Serbia just the other day. So, while Serbia used to be the biggest "playa" on the block, doesn't mean that they're still the baddest. They've certainly got some competition in CODE and I think they know that.

We also have a powerful ally in Greece and I believe in Turkey

Dillon
That's excellent to hear.

Dinnyin
I am all for directed battles and I do plan to continue to work with our alliance members and coordinate our efforts while still protecting our interests at home.

I don't want the eUSA to be seen as the kid who runs in and punches the bully when he's already down, then runs away and hides when the bully comes looking for him.

Dillon
That's definitely not an image we want to project!

My next question is about media: The previous term has seen a dramatic increase in media presence from the eWhite House, and while some information coming out of the eWhite House has been contradictory, there’s no question that citizens have noticed and appreciated seeing some of what’s going on in eUSA government. Your announcement article was an enjoyable read – do you plan to release regular articles during your term?

Dinnyin
As I mentioned in the comments of my announcement article, I abhor writing. I do, however, see the benefit from the perspective of the Country President and have noticed that the people enjoy seeing the CP being so involved.

The only downside to the CP being so involved in producing lots of media is that he's telling people about what is going on and doesn't really have a hand, at least a perceivable one, in domestic affairs.

CG is very involved in foreign affairs, which makes sense since Wild Owl is taking him "under his wing," but being CP doesn't necessarily mean that you have to do everything yourself. Running a country is the same as running a business, you have to be able to delegate and manage your delegates.

Dillon
So would you potentially be looking for volunteers to assist on that front? Maybe spread the responsibility to some of Cabinet?

Dinnyin
I would like to see more involvement in the government, especially with new players. I have always said that I believed the government should be an involved space where new players are able to work their way up, even to the office of the Country President.

I really don't see the value in the same group of oldfag players rotating the "big chair" every month. This is something that needs to be passed on to generations of players with fresh perspectives. Sometimes you even get a war or two out of it! 😉

Dillon
Haha, that would certainly liven things up!

Dinnyin
I plan to implement an administration built around mentors and mentees. More experienced players to make sure the job gets done, but younger players looking to "cut their teeth" doing a lot of the heavy lifting so they understand what it means to put in your time.

Dillon
That sounds phenomenal. I know it's pretty intimidating to jump into national politics for those who haven't been around for a while. It would definitely be a benefit to have a mentor to guide newbies through the process.

So I have one final question: What compelled you to seek the highest office in the eUSA? What’s your reason for running?

Dinnyin
This is the easiest one, I think. For me, anyway.

I have long had my eye on the Presidency, but due to a rather hectic personal life I had never had the time. I finished my graduate degree in Business Administration in May of this year and was all set to take on the task in June, but the country was in good hands and I decided to take some time off after having no free time to spend with friends or family during those years.

The time is right, now, because I believe I am the right person to lead both the domestic and foreign policy directives of this nation. The time has come to rejuvenate our meta, to bring people back in from the outside and really foster a renaissance in this community.

We are only stewards entrusted to pass the torch from the generation which has seen the "hay day" of this community to the next generation which will build its own.

We have a lot of fences to mend here, and so far no one has really focused on trying to get our own house back in order, that is going to be an area of intense focus in my administration. We all have differences, but we don't have to hate each other because of them.

Dillon
That was very well said, Dinnyin.

And congrats on your graduation!

Dinnyin
Thanks! I have a new-found respect for adult education.

Dillon
Is there anything else you'd like to tell the readers?

Dinnyin
Only that I really appreciate the support I have received thus far. I will certainly be looking for the same level of commitment and energy in the weeks to come as I, too, cut my teeth in my own great unknown.

Dillon
Thank you for taking the time to talk with me tonight. I wish you well and I wish you good luck on Thursday!

Dinnyin
Thank you and the SFP for taking the time to set this up. I really enjoyed the format!

Dillon
As did I! Maybe I'll interview you again during your term!

I hope you all enjoyed this interview. Vote Dinnyin on the 5th!
