[GOV] From The President's Desk : Week 1

Greetings fellow citizens of eMalaysia,

Ever since I assumed my duties as CP on July 7 (July 6 was an off day in eRepublik and July 7 was the launch of V2), it's been one hell of a roller-coaster week for me.

Just two simple announcements for now.

Chronicles of Week One
Day 960 – Held discussions with Tommy Aquinas(Singapore’s CP), neppons(Norway’s CP) and Jelen(India’s CP) on IRC.
Day 961 – President’s inaugural address to the nation + Announcement of Cabinet Lineup
Day 962 – Had a nice cup of tea with the MoFA of China over the renewal of MPP. Congress convenes to discuss economic reforms with the President at the Forums.
Day 963 – Proposed alliance with eChina, PTOers tabled motion of impeachment against the President. A decision to set min.wage at 0.10 MYR was agreed by Congress.
Day 964 – MPP with China signed, Impeachment bid shot down by Congress
Day 965 – President decided to move the "Economic Reform" bills ahead of schedule. 9 bills on taxes together with a min wage bill were proposed in Congress.
Day 966 – All bills were passed with exception of min wage bill. Congressmen Hajariyan proposed changes in vat for MT and house. New citizen message proposed by President.
Day 967– Hajariyan's proposed changes shot down by Congress while Citizen message passes through. Cabinet reshuffle announced with vacancies filled up. SO reopens after a week-hiatus.
