[DoI] The Suspension of the Stock Market

Hello everyone,

I logged in today for the first time in a while to see an article mentioning the temporary closure of the stock market. I have been, and will continue to be away from eRep. I feel like people who put faith in the Stock Market deserve to know what happened, so I will let you know. A few weeks back, I received a call from my family. My younger brother was in an accident and was in a critical condition. At that moment, I dropped everything and flew to my hometown to be with my brother. I am happy to report that he is making a recovery, however it is a slow one, so I'll be gone a bit longer.

Now, down to business. The Stock Market has always been my own project. While it operated under the name of the DoI, I oversaw the functionality, and therefore all complaints concerning your money should come to me. As of this moment, I will be cashing out all stocks. Please pm me with the amount of stocks you wish to cash out and I will send you the money. You all deserve your money, and I can't oversee the Stock Market and take care of my RL things at the same time.

I know many of you had high hopes in the Stock Market, and I'm genuinely sorry that it is ending in this way. In the future, however, I do intend to come back and start this again. When that happens, I hope you all will work with me again on creating a fun game to make eRepublik a better place.

I'll be on once a day for the rest of this week. After that, I'm not sure. Please let me know quickly what you need sold, and your money will get to you.
