[CP] Second Update Cabinet meeting and Norway!

Day 1,912, 05:31 Published in United Kingdom Germany by Rfeist

Hello again my fellow eUKers!

This is just another article to give you an update of going on in the eUK since my last update to you.

So what has been happening in the eUK and in the government for you may you ask....

So the Cabinet had its first full meeting this past monday evening. There was even ice cream and inflatable horses for those of Skype at the same time. In this meeting every ministry has set a target for the next week until the next meeting, some targets were longer term than this and ran up to two weeks in time.

MoD

The target here is to get the MU official status document released and have it available for MUs to apply to should they meet the criteria.

A longer term topic set was that of the MU league. There was another joint strike hosted in #JSC again last sunday, supplied by Me and Butjam as a thank you for the huge number of voters that voted in the past elections. I hope to see the MU league implemented in the next two weeks of the back of this.

MoF

The target set here was to try and automate the MoF systems so that it updates itself and becomes easier to manage and track finances/food/weapons. This will make the system more fool proof and less susceptible to items going missing. There was also talk of aiming in the next 2 weeks to develop and start running a lottery type system. This would hopefully generate income into the eUK and help the build up some finances. The MoF team will continue to actively look into investment ideas both public and privately funded but until there is an option to make money they will hold back.

MoH

There was a large volume of donations to the MoH after their last drive. This should keep them going for a few more weeks until they will be getting low. Any donations will be welcome though. The team will continue to all be involved in the delivery of supplies to ease the workload.

MoLA

MoLA has been working on making the current CS system which does not fully cover our needs as a country, more up to date and relevant. There will be more attention paid to education of PPs and Congress members to show them what can be done to protect our borders better without being dictated too. This should be coming out nearer the end of this coming week or the start of the next.

MoHA

MoHA has been busy already. There has been a census released today and has already gone out to most of the population, the rest will get it tomorrow. This census has the aim to gather a wide variety of information and so the more of you that reply the better idea we will have of what you, the citizens of the eUK want done.

Secondly I expect to see some article in the format of an article logbook with links to all the relevant articles that can be useful with their links all in one location. This should make them more accessible and make them easier for new players to access.

There will also be the return of some community games! This should be coming out near the end of the week with the aim to engage citizens of all ages and get them doing activities together and against each other to promote activeness and a sense of community.

MoFA

The MoFA has had a very busy week so far already. So fits the old phrase, ‘no rest for the wicked’. I would like to update you on these developments before looking at targets for the coming weeks.

Firstly the eUK was successful in signing MPPs with old friends eChile and eIndonesia. This came as great news to me as it shows that we have made a commitment to our friends of old. Tied to this we have signed eVenezuela as an MPP in line with making better bonds with it as a member of ACT (linked to TWO) and improving relations with the country.

Norway has been a recent issue that has come to the surface. It was going to sooner or later after the way that war was started with this country last term. I told the eUK when I was running that I would try my best to keep these regions for TPs but would not throw our much needed reserves of weapons and money into keeping it when it offers us no bonuses except TPs. Me and my MoFA team were in contact with the eNorway CP throughout the day trying to come to an understanding that would benefit both countries. It should be noted that they were very determined to return this region to their own country and were willing to throw a lot of money and resources behind it. Assessing the situation that was presented to us and to protect eUK interests I stopped directing damage towards the battle in order to return it to eNorway. It should be noted that we have a region in Sorlandet for RWs and therefore TPs.

Throughout this whole even I have tried to show the the eUK can use diplomacy instead of war in situations that suite it. I hope that in the future better relations with Norway can be established.

Going forward the MoFA team are looking to have ambassadors start releasing information on the countries that they are focused on to show those in the eUK what it is like in other countries around the eWorld.

I hope that this has helped you to get an understanding of where things have progressed to so far and where they are looking to go in the future.

Regards
Richard Feist
