My fellow eBelgians,

I have played this game since 2009. I've seen and done many things. I have been:

Member of Congress 15x
I have been working for eBelgium since we gained independence back in January of 2010. Things were volatile, things were new. I helped write the rules that we now live by, and have worked to make new and old rules make sense. I've worked to ensure fairness in our government and community.

Party President of many parties, many times
I have been PP of many parties in eBelgium. I understand the importance and the needs of party politics. As President, I want to work closely with Party Presidents to have a united front on all aspects in our community.

Minister of National Secuity x2
As Minister of National Security, I have had over 40 eBelgian Multis removed from the game. I helped improve eBelgium's security, provided an interesting element to our community, and provided our media with many articles to let the community know what I was doing as MoNS.

Minister of Growth and Culture
Once upon a time, I served as Minister of Growth and Culture. With this job, I was tasked with helping new players grow, and to help find ways to build our culture. Perhaps the best thing that came out of this was the Aldous the Meek campaign...

Supreme Court Justice x2
I have served as a Supreme Court Justice. Heck, I wrote the book on the Supreme Court. Literally, I wrote the law, fought for its passage, and helped reform it along the way to make it work.

CoC-appointed Immigration Officer x3
I served as the CoC-appointed IO three times. I helped investigate citizenship requests. Some of them that I rejected actually turned out to be Multis, something I am proud of.

So now that you're caught up to speed on just what I have done, I want to tell you what I want to do as President.


Military


I have always thought that the military aspect needs some more role-playing items to make the module feel more than just clicking. As CP, I will have my MoD implement weekly awards and showcase them in the media such as "Soldier of the Week" for damage and discipline. More ribbons, more medals, more honor. This will appeal to new players, so we can grow our military and make it fun.


Another thing I want to look into at least laying the ground work for is to establish an eBelgian War Academy. This military academy will have different tracks (tiered):

General Infantry (GI) track will teach recruits the basics of warfare and tactics. Completion of this track will allow soldiers to be eligible for supplies (its easy, don't worry).

Logistics track will teach organizational supply to participants. The goal is to learn best practices of army logistics. This track will be required for anyone wanting to be supply officers/distributors.

Special Operations track is classified. You'll know when you know 😉

Leadership track is for those wanting to be high ranking officers and ultimately commanders. This track is meant to instill the core values of leadership and skills to increase esprit de corps.

Courses will be taught by highly experienced instructors.


I think we are doing a good job at supplying our troops. I will listen to my commanders in the field to see what else they need, and how the government can provide it.


National Security


Multis will continue to be rooted out and reported to Admins. As far as PTOs are concerned, my administration will remain vigilant to all PTO threats. Its important however to understand that not all political enemies are PTOs.


Economy and Finances


The government should keep a close eye on what what it spends versus what it takes in. If more money is needed, we should come up with new ways to get it. My administration will continue to play the Monetary Market to make money as well as other forms of market speculation.

As President, I will listen to business owners to see what they want. If they think the tax structure should be revised, we will explore that. I will convene a "Made in eBelgium" working group that will identify what our businesses need to succeed now and in the future.


Culture and Justice


As President, I will have my Minister of Growth, Education and Culture write educational articles and help noobs in general, as usual. But he will also kick start the Plan for eBelgium. This plan is will identify what it means to be eBelgian, and how we see our future as a community.

As for justice, I will see to it that our community rules are followed and wrong-doers punished. My Administration will operate within the law at all times, setting a standard for all following Presidents to adhere to.

I aspire to unify our nation. I am not an "establishment" candidate, and I am not a "PTO" candidate. I'm a pretty pragmatic guy, I can bring us together.
