My fellow Americans:

I am proud (and horny) to announce my candidacy for the Office of President.
I have been working on these campaign plans for the last few months. With the help of Thee Dude and Stormin EwokJedi, I have assembled an amazing cabinet filled with both established leaders and rising stars, providing both experience and new ideas. While I had hoped that the upcoming month would be stable and prosperous, recent changes in the global power balance bring the very real threat of invasion. In either scenario, this administration will be hard at work to protect and strengthen eUSA.

Many of you may know me from my work with domestic programs. I have always been a reliable worker, sending out food or money, day in and day out. I have been active in the cabinets of most (if not all?) the administrations of the last few years and know how to work with the various factions and parties.

While I have many ideas about new domestic programs, I want to focus my agenda on promoting unity. If we do find ourselves under attack again, we will all need to work together as a country, not just as a party or military unit. Accordingly, the top 6 parties will all be represented in my cabinet.

Why players believe they are including a whole party by taking one 1 of the parties members to garner votes from that party is beyond me. 😫

I've done my time with gov positions in the past and do not find them appealing
If the player really would like to listen to their peers and not just garner votes I shouldn't need to take a deputy position or any other position in a cabinet to give advice or ideas.
If I see a way I feel we can improve things I tend to say it regardless.
I am always available consultation if needed all the player needs to do is PM me.

@henry william : if you ask me, it would be good for you to join his position as a deputy within the cabinet, so that both you and your party's ideas+suggestions can be heard in a wider audience.
its always good to reach out and to spread your (good) ideas to others, for they can make the community better, imho.

Most time my ideas were met with ridicule toward anything I or BSP would/will say. I still shout my ideas as I am now where ever I feel people can see. I am all for people building on things I say instead of just bashing them. Too bad most just feel the need to bash instead of try to help build on an idea they may agree with but can't admit because it's coming from me or BSP.

From the perspective of a politician including players from certain parties by giving them meaningless positions to make the appearance of inclusion is a go to for most players running for CP to garner votes or endorsements from parties.
This statement isn't just about Herr, I am sure he has some true intent to try to include as many parties/players as possible I am speaking more in a general sense when players run for CP.

IF a player runs for CP by including a VP from a different party, it could be on one hand nakedly political...but it also actually means giving that party a seat at the table

In my opinion it doesn't have to be one or the other. From talking with Voots though I know he actually does care about unity beyond winning. But devil's advocate: does it matter? The implication from HWF is that these people will be excluded from mattering, but in my experience of getting jobs because of my party (from forever ago), these were legitimate stepping stones into government.

Also if you are reading Herr I have nothing against you. I said the same thing to Kobble before he accepted his position with CG about how I feel about vote garnering from players running for CP. Feel free to ask him. If there is anything I can help with if you win or lose feel free to PM me. I would like to try to help to bring our nation closer together if possible. I don't need a position in a cabinet to be helpful if asked properly/politely/respectfully. 🙂

I think it's a bit more nuanced than that. No one in my cabinet is a token member just to get party representation (and thus support). I did, however, look beyond my party and friends when choosing cabinet members. I believe I found some great people, some of whom I wouldn't have realized were options had I not made a conscious effort. I don't know a lot of people in BSP, I guess we just don't hang out in the same circles (or forums...), but I've been seeing Kobble's work, and like his ideas such as the PAL - and am looking forward to working with him more in the future if I am elected.
