Let it be acknowledged to the public at large, and the people of Ukraine in particular:
- the foreiture of Ukrainian land as agreed upon by our government is a forfeiture of our natural resources to foreign powers and a national security risk in exchange for too-little compensation.

- the cohesion of an independent Ukrainian state requires maintaining our natural borders, or at very least, using the proceeds of a deal such as this to significantly invest in the infrastructure of the Ukrainian homeland.

Ukraine benefits from rental agreement much more, than loses.
We have codified a national security risk into an agreement we are bound to honor, and commodified that risk into cash.
Since the agreement has been signed, the people of Ukraine can expect investment of the proceeds into enhancing quality-of-life.

Of course these articles look like they have been written in some kind of alternative universe, yet this only makes them funny, not harmful.
