Meeting in Europe::Serbia::Belgrade
Dio Hostilian
Hello, everybody,
I'd like to invite you to a meeting in Serbia. Perhaps you've heard of Belgrade, the current European capital of funny time.
(btw, I'm not kidding, Belgrade was declared to be the most significant city in Europe in context of having fun and drinking yourselves dead).
Average prices are:
cigarettes: 1.5€ ($2);
beer: 1.5€/0.5l ($2/17oz) (in clubs or 0.5€ in shops)
brandy: 1€/shot ($1.3)
ask for more info...
Well, I think it is time to give you the article I wanted to give you. It's not mine, nor is the meeting mine, I'm just bringing it to a wider customer base. For the original article, see this link, although you might consider using google translate or course of Serbian since it is, well, you guessed it, in Croatian, only written in Cyrillic script.
Core info about the gathering
Date: 2012-10-20 (Saturday), from 10am (CEST), till' the end of time and beyond.
Place: Europe:
😒erbia::Belgrade::Ada Ciganlija::Roštilj (or in GPS: 44.7895090° north, 20.405133° east).
Estimated weather conditions
(the weather is not the most controllable aspect of this meeting, so it might change, but this should be a rough estimate)
What should you do?
- Just come to the place
- Bring good mood along
- Take a football (soccer) ball or basketball ball with you (or will to play either of those)
How to come there?
If you're already in Belgrade, you can use buses 23, 37, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 88, 89, 91, 92, 511 or 551 to come to Ada.
Otherwise take a plane/train/bus/car/teleport to Belgrade first, and then reread the previous sentence.
(the meeting place for those that come exactly at 10am, ie. nobody - the Belgrade Stonehenge, quite near the bus station for Ada)
This is how it looks like in practice:
I honestly understand if you don't want to come because it is too far away. If I lived in the US, I certainly wouldn't come to Belgrade for the weekend, you can count on that. But, should you decide to come, you can count on support on finding accommodations (possibly free of charge, ie. hosted), and well funded support on getting drunk every night. We've got cool girls as well (some even play this game).
In case you're already in Europe, you have no excuse not to come.
I hope to see you next Saturday!

@ElvenCRO
thanks, but no thanks.. unsafe for me.
This sentence says a lot about your common sense, and might I even add-intelligence..
@Caca I don't feel safe in shitty countries like that...
so is that how you measure someone's intelligence? LOL
@Elven, you have no reason not to feel safe. The only way you'd get into trouble here is to actively search for one, but that method works everywhere. Last time I went to Zagreb, the return train ticket was about 30€, so you could even grab a train in the morning, spend the day on Ada with us and the BBQ and then return back home in the evening. That way you have no chance of getting into any trouble whatsoever, even if you try hard to get into one.
@Hostilian Bro, I attended Euro Handball Championship this year on match in Novi Sad.....with my car...
: D
Well, that's a different story. I hope you can still use your car. On the matches there are usually lots of idiotic "fans" (I'm not sure if that's the right word, especially since I really doubt those people even like handball). I'm pretty sure the same would happen to Serbian cars in almost any Croatian or FBiH city when around the stadium. Or ZG cars in Split when Dinamo and Hajduk are playing, probably. That's a special breed of people not found roaming the city when there are no games.
welcome friends xD
