A story: Imagine you have a discotheque and it starts off great. You have a huge crowd every night and the atmosphere is great. Some are there to get drunk and others are there just to dance and have fun because they can't really afford a lot of drinks.
One day the owner decides that he isn't making as much money as he could, so he decides to turn the speakers off and to rent people headphones... He though to himself: "Why not? All the guys in the VIP section will get them and pay a great deal of money for them..."
The next day, of course, the rich guys get the headphones and it's great for them. The music is even louder and better then before. But the less rich people can't afford the headphones and start to get bored. They don't see the point in being in a discotheque without music, so one by one they leave...
Soon after, the rich guys start leaving too. Why? They have their earphones!
Because, it isn't fun anymore. Without all the cute girls to hit on, and all the guys that envy them, who were there just to dance, the rich guys were bored...

the success in this kind of games isn´t to have few people paying a lot. If you want to have a good online game and to make real money, you need to have a huge comunity. Because even if only a few pay, the quantity that they pay will be higher if they can be better than many.
Imagine an eR with half a million players. In that game you wont have 1 romper, you could have a lot. and some of them will pay even a lot more. Because they can show to a real lot of people that they can win a battle.
