Today is Friday the 13th!
Valentine's Day is tomorrow and it's coming fast!!
Your local market has a counter in the back, behind the produce section. They sell flowers there for twice the price of a regular florist. 364 days of the year their flowers rot in the coolers. Tomorrow they will be selling red roses for $25 apiece. When those are gone the pink carnations will go for $10 each. The sign on the cash register reads, "Failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on our part.", so don't expect speedy service.
Hope you can convince her that it was very difficult to get a reservation.
