World at War - Episode 1

So this article is a first, at least for me. I will try to take the major theaters of war around the globe and open them point by point. I tried this once before but I abandoned, let's hope this time I will keep working at it.


I will start with what I consider the biggest battleground at the moment, Spain.



After more then a week of fighting both Brazil and France, Spain is trying to turn the odds in their favor. After the French attack on Castilla Y Leon, the Spaniards opened 3 resistance wars against France in Navaro, La Rioja and Castilla la Mancha.

The region of Castilla Y Leon is a very important battle at the moment as it is the only region separating the French from Asturias, the Spanish High Iron Region. A Spanish attack on catalonia (France) and Murcia (Brazil) shortly followed. This is an attempt made by the Spanish leadership to divide their enemies forces.

P.S. Yes I know I put the arrow in Castilla Y Leon upside down, sorry...

Moving past the was in the Iberian Peninsula we move to Germany.



As we can see an even more intense battlefield then the Spaniard one is at the moment Germany. Following a Swedish attack on Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, Germany tried to respond at the best of their ability by attacking Italy in Bavaria. They where not alone as the Austrians saw the opportunity to recover some of their lost regions and attacked the province of Trentino-South Tyrol.

Things quickly escalated when Poland entered the game and attacked Lower Saxony and Bremen. Germany counter-attacked with what seems to be a desperate move dividing their forces even more by attacking their Polish held capital of Branderburg and Berlin.


At the time I wrote the article the scores where as following:
Poland vs Germany - Brandenburg and Berlin 0-0
Poland vs Germany - Lower Saxony and Bremen 0-1
Sweden vs Germany - Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg 1-0
Austria vs Italy - Trentino-South Tyrol. 0-1
