Why I support Alexander_Auctoritas for your next President of the United States

Day 1,380, 21:59 Published in USA USA by Kria Erikson

I first met Alex what seems like forever ago now, when he was in the Cavalry and I was in the Army. For those of you who do not remember the Cavalry, it was formed near the end of V1, which was a very different game and time than now. The player base at that time was so large that it became necessary to split the Army into two groups which became the Army and Cavalry. Like all other branches, the Cavalry developed its own culture. It became an unique branch because it allowed high-strength people to be in a branch constructed for their strength level, yet remain politically involved at a time when those holding political office were constrained by being unable to move out of the country. Political discussions were had without being stopped for just being about politics and were respectful, even between members of different parties. Being able to participate in these was one of the factors that began to get me interested in politics, yet I had no desire to leave the Army to participate.

Not long after, the game mechanics were changed and I spent one term in congress. I did not do much beyond make some new friends and learn about how congress was run. I watched the first military amendment get passed with both support and opposition from within the military, and realized that society would inevitably split over this issue.

I considered using a picture of a broken heart, but decided that was too sappy.

Since that time, society did indeed split, and although relations have been repaired from their worst point, they still require more improvement. If there is one thing I will make my specific project as your Vice President, it is that. In addition to the congress term mentioned above, I have spent two additional terms in congress, acted as the Political Director for the AMP, served as a division commander in the Army, and spent some time in the National Guard. I currently serve as the Party President for the AMP, deputy Secretary of Defense in Cerb's administration, and the director of IES, as well as a platoon officer in the Army.

During my time as a military officer, I learned through observation which
strategies work and which do not. When I became a deputy Secretary of Defense, I was once again working with Alex. I was actually able to use what I had learned to influence the strategies taken by the government through discussion with others. Without giving away specifics of what was decided (erring on the side of caution, just in case 😉 ) I had an idea that influenced decisions taken when attacking Spain, and guess what? It worked!I am sure Alex can tell countless stories about his time as the Secretary of Defense similiar to mine. Most recently, under his leadership and that of the other military leaders in the nation, we were able to push out the pig-disgusting Spaniards and the Poles, and begin helping allies with our military force again.

When Alex asked me to be his running mate for this election, I was surprised, yet honored that I was even on the radar to be chosen. I did not accept right away, but knowing the type of person and leader Alex has shown himself to be, I eventually decided to run with him, and as we have further talked about goals for the coming month, I knew I had made the right choice to run with a longtime friend who has never lost sight of the fact that this is a game, and games should be fun.

^That guy is awesome

Plain fact is, Alex and I not only have the experience to make a difference militairly, but we already have made a difference, and had fun doing it.
