When being a God is not enough.....

As more and more players rank up, cross the line and become a “God of War”, the need for redefining the ranking system becomes more obvious.

Sure… we have GoW*, GoW** and GoW***.... but this still falls short of what players have achieved and will achieve soon.

Romper, for example has already passed the maximum points achieved for a GoW***, which is 500M rank points. He has more than 800M points and should have ranked up long time ago. Problem is there is no higher rank. The admins here had to put some new number. So as the rank points required for advancing are like this…

This is very unfair for Romper (or any other hypertank) as their damage per hit will keep increasing only because of the daily training, and not because they fight. Poor Romper!

And if you think this is not a problem…… think again. It is the big tanks who have put money in the game, and they are likely to put more in the future. Admins must be scratching their head about the proper way to settle this.

One scenario is that the ranking scale remains unchanged and every single player in the game is robbed of … say 50% of his rank points. Romper drops to GoW**, I am becoming a World Class Force*** from a Legendary Force***, and the average Field Marshal is becoming a General again. This has happened before, and those of you who are playing this game long enough remember it! But this is very hard to implement now, because now we have bazookas + rockets and if all players loose half their rank points the bazooka and the rocket will gain too much power.



Another scenario is that new ranks are created. GoW*** sounds like something that cannot be topped. However the Greek mythology can bring some new faces, and ranks. We can have other gods coming into play, gods more important that Ares (Mars) who is the actual God of War. We can have Hephaestus, the god of fire, all sorts of other gods, then Zeus (the father of all Gods!), and after that we can have Cronus (the father of Zeus!). And after that we can have “Young Chuck Norris”, which will require trillions in the trillionth power of points or spending 2000 Euros in eRepublik, whichever comes first.
Lastly, we can have the ultimate rank, “Chuck Norris”, reserved for the players who are willing to sell their house and one kidney for this game.



Remember that the ranking system will change.
Remember that you read it here first, as you did with "the new bazooka”..
