Weekly Update from a Congressman

Day 2,435, 13:46 Published in United Kingdom USA by Charlie Silverhand

I was thinking of ways to become a better politician and a congressman, a better representative of the people and for my lovely party, that's when it came me, the people voted us in, the people should know how we vote on the issues of the country.

So I decided I would write up an update from the House of Commons and publish it every week on sunday/monday. This gives me a chance to connect with the people who decide who gets power, you want me to bring up an issue in congress? Ask in the comments and I'll do my best to get the answers for them.

So this is my past week in congress.

MPPs (7) - Venezuela, Latvia, Poland, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Spain
MPPs are an integral part of safeguarding national interests and I happily voted yes, and I seem to be in the majority as the first 5 have passed, the other two look like they will pass as well

Natural Enemy (3)- Portugal, Poland and Norway
I am not a representative of foreign affairs ministry nor am I a diplomat but I am guessing we shouldn't really NE the country that aided us quite a bit in times of trouble.

Voting No to the Poland and Norway NE and voted YES on the Portugal one wasn't a hard decision at all, easiest clicks I've done in a while. The majority seem to be agreeing with me as Poland NE has failed gloriously and Norway NE seems to be heading down the same road.

President Impeachment(1) - BigAnt out Prof. Moriarty in

Voted a resounding yes, my only regret for this term is that I couldn't have the glory of proposing it myself. Damn you Akarin! Every cloud has a silver lining but this golden cloud of ice cream has a diamond lining that BigAnt will be out of office in just over 2 hours.

And that brings to the end one of the worst weeks in eUK politics, we lost a lot of assets, and not all of them were the governments, some belonged to citizens as well. But the fact that we wake up tomorrow to an eUK without the insect in power, makes tomorrow that much sweeter.

IF I do get another congress term I will be continuing this series, If I don't I will still be doing a weekly update but not on how I voted, it will be on how congress voted and maybe even rationalize the idea behind such a vote. And perhaps even call into question if there is a controversial vote.

So till next week,

Charles Moncrieff,
House of Commons, Palace of Westminster.
