Wars Around the World: Day 2698

Day 2,698, 16:28 Published in Netherlands USA by Actinide

Inspired by eBritish citizen Hotfuz and his former series of the same name, I now present to you…

WARS AROUND THE WORLD!

West Europe (This includes us!)

Western Europe is essentially void of action, but the administration recently announced that a Portuguese-sanctioned eNL RW will be taking place in a matter of hours.

Northeast Europe

Poland’s got a campaign against Lithuania, and they’re leading 90-11 in Samogitia. At the same time, Lithuania has an RW against Poland for Sudovia, which they’re winning 33-0. It’ll be interesting to see whether once the Samogitia war ends, the Polish force will reprioritize to the RW. If so, Poland will have major success in this campaign.

Southeast Europe

Southeast Europe is our busiest region right now; 11 battles are ongoing here. Ukraine has an RW against Hungary for Subcarpathia (Hungary leads 16-7). There’s a Slovakian RW against Hungary in Western Slovakia (Hungary leads 88-0). Hungary is attacking Austria’s Salzburg and winning that campaign 33-0. The fact that Hungary is leading in three simultaneous campaigns is a testament to their military strength (advice to the eNL administration: don’t RW against Hungary unless it’s Hungarian-sanctioned). Austria has an RW in Carinthia against Slovenia (Austria leads 30-3), and Austria is also attacking Slovenia in Trentino-South Tyrol (Slovenia leads 11-0). Slovenia is attacking Italy in Friuli-Venezia Giulia (Slovenia leads 54-12), whereas Italy has an RW against Slovenia for Tuscany that sees Italy leading 22-0 . At the same time, Serbia is attacking Italy in Emilia-Romagna that sees Serbia leading 63-3. Slovenia is leading in two out of four of their campaigns, and will be able to reprioritize should they win their attack against Trieste in Italy. Austria, on the other hand, has to deal with the Hungarian powerhouse and, if Slovenia can reprioritize in due order, a relatively strong Slovenian military, and Italy will probably be able to pull off one of their two campaigns (namely, the one in Tuscany where they’re sweeping the Slovenians right now).

Africa

Only action in Africa right now is a South African RW against Croatia (Croatia leads 44-0). Funny thing: right now, only European countries have a presence in Africa. Nigeria, S. Africa and Egypt no longer have any African presence (a sad thing indeed :’( ).

Middle East

Is this a late April Fools, or are there NO WARS IN THE MIDDLE EAST? This is totally unprecedented and unlike anything eRepublik or society in general has ever seen. It’s nutso.

Southeast Asia

Not much action here, but India has an RW against Bulgaria for New Delhi (Bulgaria leads 33-0),
Colombia is attacking Palawan in the Philippines (Colombia leads 44-0), and Russia’s attacking Japan in Tohoku (Russia leads 85-3). Colombia has had previous success in their campaign in the Philippines, and ditto Russia in Japan, and I don’t expect this success to end any time in the near future.

Oceania

Nothing here. All is calm.

North America

The Cubans are coming! The Cubans are coming! To Florida, that is. Cuba is beginning a campaign against the United States (the US leads 46-0). This puts Cuba in an interesting position, as Portugal is attacking Santiago de Cuba (and winning 22-3). This means two things: firstly, if Cuba loses both campaigns, then Cuba could be regionless within 48 hours, and secondly, if Portugal wins against Cuba, then they’ll be able to begin a North American expansion that completely explains why they’d be willing to give us our regions back and give up on the European mainland.

South America

Only thing here is a Chilean RW against the Argies that sees Chile leading 33 to 15.
