USWP "what would I do?"

What would I do to bring back glory to our country if I led it?

Hmm, that’s a very interesting question. I suppose I would like to do 5 things the most, and I should only express those 5 things, as my desired list would would require more paper than I can afford to buy or afford to publish.

1. Solidify coordination between US-AIM and the USAF

These entities both wield extreme amounts of power, and while US-AIM tends to desire more independence than the USAF, both of these forces can work together when they need to. The main issue is that they do not talk enough. They should get to know each other a little better, like two spouses who both have a hobby, but who both think that the other will dislike it if they tell the other of it. Above all else, try to agree on priorities for our battles. This will concentrate our damage where we need it most. This could be a new era of cooperation and kicking TWO booty for all of eAmerica’s armed forces. You gotta admit, that is our goal when you get down to it. We just get it done differently.

2. Get our country back slow and steady

Recently, we have had some success liberating fractions of our nation, only to have them inevitably recaptured. I would propose that this serves to waste damage and government money while harming the morale of us all. Instead, we should endeavor to take a territory, and fend off the attacks that come, until we can take another territory. Then we fend off the next set of attacks, and grow by only taking what we have the power to keep. This will show nations around us, both friend and foe, that we have the patience and perseverance to win the good fight, and know our limits. Limits that will expand like the universe itself.

3. Bring people back to the game, and away from the meta-game

Don’t get me wrong, the meta-game serves a purpose. Ever since the long ago lost days of erep V1, erep has not provided certain services that the meta-game provides. Things like instant party communication, and debating ideas to settle them before the 24-hour limit erep places on congress voting. But erep has something the other sites do not, it is erep! It is easy to use and is much more appealing to new users than the complicated web of IRC chats and heaps of forum threads. I would encourage those that play the meta-game more like it is the game, to use it only as needed. Whenever something can be done on erep, do it there! Congress can set up a message board in-game to debate issues. Parties can use google forms to gather votes on congress members and PP elections. Candidates can campaign not on the forums, but by putting more media content in-game, where the general public can easily use it.

4. Lead another Multi-scan on RGR and other known PTO’ers

We did it once, (I think, I wasn’t there) and we can do it again! We all know RGR runs multis, and there was a time when we all banded together to gather evidence that was sent to Plato’s top-secret forensic lab and confirmed. With that, the banhammer was dropped in one day, permanently banning all of his accounts. Currently, we fight an agonizing battle each month in which we must give up our freedom of choice for the greater good of having safety, and as Patrick Henry so famously said,”Those who trade liberty for security deserve neither!” We probably can deal with RGR the way we are now, but it is long, causes us to look like choiceless zombies to the rest of the world, stifles political expectations of responsibility, and it sets the bar too low since everyone will be voting for you(as the ATO candidate to keep the PTO’ers out.) Let’s get this over with once and for all by bringing the banhammer down.Do this so we can go back to being the democratic, opinionated, and most of all, spirited USA!

5. Fresh blood in the political system

There are constant members in our congress that scarcely know what it is like to be out of the power of the electorate. Granted, this is due to the hard and diligent work and effort they put into the game, and no one should scorn that, but it discourages new citizens from having aspirations. It sets up a class barrier that has no visible method of being broken. The veteran players should still work hard for the good of our country, and they will be deservedly appreciated for it. However, a few ways to break down the political barrier between the vets and the new players, bringing innovation to the country and its politics, are to have self-imposed term limits, such as no double dipping, where you do not serve two terms in a row. PP’s should favor newer players in their selections, not to the point of placing incompetent players in office, but if a newer player expresses drive and a willingness to learn the ways of congress, then give them a spot as a trial run. Lastly, have the DoE set up an academy for those who desire to get into congress. Teach them the US constitution, how to propose and discuss issues, and how to operate the citizenship module in compliance with immigration regulations. This will unlock the potential of our recent baby boom and keep newer players in the game while still giving everyone a fair shot. These players are our future, and it is well worth the while to invest our time in bettering them.
