Hello guys and gals,

This is Kunal. And finally, the UFL Registrations have come! Yes, it's for real. No joke, no fraud. Lol... Anyways, I am sorry, really really sorry for not posting this article earlier (I hold my ears). 🙁 As you know, exams were on. So, I couldn't get the time... I was pretty sure back then that I could post this article on 12th March. But, fate played its trick and I couldn't get the time. A lot of work came upon me. But now, I'm free and am writing these lines.

Okay, moving forward, I have a good news and a bad news (this one only for the participants). But the bad one can be good for the non-participants. Want to know what it is? Read ahead!

I'll start with the good news. The good news is that.... there is a rise in the Prize Money! Yes, it's true, no kidding. Well, it's because of two reasons: First, my exams are over! I am now free and happy! So, think it as a treat from me. Second, I was recently chosen as the Ambassador of Ukraine by the MoFA. That's a great boost for me. I'm lovin' it!

Well, you're probably thinking, shut the reasons up Kunal and tell me the Prize Money! Well, don't worry, here you go:

First Champions: Their Cash Prize is increased to 2500 INR! Else remains the same.
Runners-Up: They will now also get a Cash Prize of 1250 INR. Else is same.
Other Participants will get now also get a Cash Prize of 100 INR. Else still is same.

Well, not much is increased, other than the Runners-Up. But still, it's okay I guess. Anyways, just for your information, I might increase or decrease prizes according to my situation in near future.

Okay, now comes the bad news (heart beating fast, faster, fastest). The news is that Nagaraj Suraj has officially resigned from his Owner post due to some personal reasons. So, until I get another player to take his position, I can't continue the League. Well, Registrations will be on. But, the matches won't officially begin until a player joins the League.

Well, for Non-Participants, if you want to join the League in place of Nagaraj, just follow the Registration Process below and you can get a chance to participate in the League (I'll explain why a 'chance' bit later). So, this can be good news for you.

Well, for participants. You'll have to wait until a player takes over the post. I'll inform you when we get a player. By that time, you are humbly requested to advertise the League more so that more people can get to know about it and the League begins asap.

In any case, if 2 or more than 2 non-participants complete the Registration Process detailed below, any one will be chosen from them by our Owners (Participants). I will tell you how to do this later (Note: I placed IF there). So, that means if more players participate, our Owners will have the power to choose their opponent in the League in place of Nagaraj (you'll be gifted such kinds of power often which will help you enjoy the game). This is also why I said 'chance'.

Okay now, let's move ahead. If you have read my article on Pre-Acquired Knowledge for UFL, then Great! You're already moving forward! 🙂 If not, then please stop lagging behind and read it. Please. It's important stuff you should know. Whichever way, please read this article in full first. And then perform any Registration Process. It'll only make your Process easier and faster. So please, it's only for your own good.

Anyways, just to inform you, as I posted this article late, I'm also tweaking the settings of the Registration Form. The form will go active today and become inactive on Tuesday, 24th March'15. So please, fill the form before the time runs out. Else, I'm afraid you won't be able to register.

Also, our dear user and Owner pamadapa requested the Game Mechanics of this League earlier. I've posted a section of it at the last of this article. So, if you want to how I'll be working with the League and managing it, please be sure to check the section. It's all the information you need.

Okay, Reading Check! Keep moving forward! I know I talk a lot. Sorry... It's just I like to give the information to someone in full. So...

Registration Process

Step 1: Read the whole article. Vote+Subscribe! 😃

Step 2: Create a Team Structure. I mentioned it in the Pre-Acquired Knowledge article. Team Structure goes something like this: 3xQ3, 6xQ2 and 5xQ1 Players. It just gives you a basic idea of what your team will be like. Also, a Team Structure is valid if it fits into the budget. Like the above one is invalid, as it exceeds by normal budget of 250,000 UFLC. If you have more budget, it's okay. Team Structure is valid until it fits your budget.

Step 3: Visit this form.

Step 4: Fill it with valid information. Be sure to refer to Guidelines before filling any information.

Step 5: Submit the Captcha and click 'Join!'.

Step 6: Inform me through messaging that you have filled the form.

Step 7: I'll check your information and verify it. If everything is valid, you'll receive a confirmation message from me asap and you'll have officially registered your New Club then. I'll tell the other players that your registration was successful in the Discussion Thread (more about this is written in the Game Mechanics section). However, if the information is invalid due to some possible reasons, you'll receive a message from me telling you to re-submit your entry and the apparent reasons for it. If you receive such a message, you SHOULD re-submit your entry. Continuous invalid submissions will lead to disqualification before the League.

Step 8: Then once all the required information is with me and everything is set. The matches, real fun, will begin! 😃

Registration Guidelines
These are a set of instructions and guidelines to fill each field in the form. Be sure to read it before submitting anything.

Club Name: This field should be clear by it's name. These are the words by which your team will be represented and known by. You can write maximum of 4 words. Choose something unique and original. It should be something which represents you and your team. It should end with F.C. For e.g. "Delhi Shark Blasters FC". Invalid names include any content showing sexuality (e.g. "%$cking Blasters FC"), any material copyrighted by a third party (for e.g. "Pokemon Fans FC"), a name containing invalid characters (e.g. "Hi&&*8 Riders FC"), or any word which is NOT meaningful (e.g "kkfgh Bros FC").

Team Jersey: This can be any picture or image you want to show to the world (excluding invalid images). This should be something which represents you and your team. Remember, this is your Jersey, so it'll be displayed again and again to other people. Choose wisely! Invalid images include any sexual content or anything copyrighted by a third party.

Team Slogan: This is a line or a phrase by which other people can remember you and your Team. It's also a great motivator and morale booster for the Team. Think of it as a tagline for an advertisement. However, entering this is optional. Same Invalid Rules apply as the Club Name.

Owner's and Manager's Profile Link: You guessed it! Copy and Paste yours and your Manager's (if you have one) Profile Link.

General Squa😛 This is where you'll create imaginary players. Each Row has 3 Columns. Read below what you should enter in each of these.
Name: This is the name of the corresponding player. It should be like this-(First Name) (Last Name). It should be original. Invalid names include all the Invalid Rules for Club Name. Copyrighted names can now be used. (Check AKR THUNDERBIRDS FC for e.g.)
Position: It's the position in which the corresponding player is specialized in. Remember, it's also the position at which your player will play during the match. You can enter any 1 of the 4 types of positions in this field, GK (Goal Keeper), Defender, Mid-Fielder and Striker.
Quality: Now, this field uses the Team Structure. According to the structure, assign quality to each player. You can enter Q1, Q2, or Q3 in this field.

Terms and Conditions: The box should be checked before joining. Read below.

Terms and Conditions

1. UFL is not responsible for any kind of conversation engaged by the participants (with anyone). UFL encourages discussion, but it should not be liable in case any damage happens. For e.g. if you discuss with a player in the Discussion Thread and other player hurts or offends you, you should not hold UFL responsible.
2. Every player represents his own information and UFL is not responsible for it. For e.g. If a player named his team something which offends any one, UFL should not be liable for it. You can complaint, or report a name, if your reason feels valid I'll try to contact the Owner and tell him to change his Club Name to something else asap. If refused to change, he'll be disqualified.
3. UFL's word is last and final. What UFL tells you, is the final response. You MUST obey the League at any cost. Remember, I have all planned out. I won't order you something which is not right. I respect the sentiments of all the players, but it's the rule. Trust me. I'll only do what is right and what should be done. I won't make a wrong use of my power.
4. You MUST obey UFL's orders. Yes, if you don't obey the League's order, you'll first be politely warned. If you keep disobeying, you'll be straight away dismissed from the League. Remember, I have the power. However, you also have the power to appeal. If you think what UFL is currently doing is not right, you can appeal and explain your reason by messaging me. If your appeal feels valid, I'll take it into consideration. You'll be informed, don't worry.

Privacy Policy

The information (position and quality) which you enter in the General Squad section will be kept highly confidential. They'll not be disclosed to any other person at any cost.

So, finally, here the Guidelines end... Now, I'll write the Game Mechanics section.

Game Mechanics

First, you all will fill in the form. When all the players have registered, the matches can begin. Before any match, I'll ask the Owners or Managers the Match Squad (i.e. names of the players participating in the upcoming match). Then, I'll post an article on "Match Details". It'll list the details of Teams Battling and Match Squad of each of them. I'll also detail the Ticket Buying Process (for other people other than the Owner or Manager of the Teams Participating in the Match will need to buy a ticket to watch the match minute-to-minute). Then I'll ask from the Owners and Managers of the Teams Battling in the Match the information (formation, tactics, style of play, etc.) I need through messaging. You should reply me as soon as you receive the message. If you fail to reply before the match, your Team will play with random information. Then, I'll create a different thread for each match and invite the ticket-holders and Team Owners and Managers. Then I'll enter the information given to me in One Minute Football Simulator for Windows 8. It simulates results for each minute in match. That's how the result of the match is decided. As it simulates only results, I'll create commentary of each minute in my own words based on the result. This commentary will be posted for each minute (that means, I'll post 90 messages in the thread or more if extra time) in the thread after a particular time (e.g. 6 pm onward IST). This is live commentary. You can also watch the match (read the thread) later on, but this will ruin your suspense. Also, Team Managers and Owners can give Special Orders to the Team (like changing information) during a match. So, try to be present (be online) on the given time. After the match reaches a result, the result and current standings will be updated on the Discussion Thread. Also, the results will be updated in the Match Details for the non-participants. This is how the League will reach it's result.

You're seeing that I'm mentioning the Discussion Thread again and again. What is it, you my ask. It's a thread in which all the existing players will be invited to. I'll update it with new information asap. This can also used for discussion between the Players. Check it Participants! You might have a notification in the thread! 🙂
