Yep, I'm going to do one too.

It seems like newbs don't really get how to play this game, as if there's a kind of divine mystery behind getting to the point where others are. The thing is there is no trick and just like trying to boil water it's going to take some time. Of course nowadays there's thing like pay to train and all of that which speeds up the process a bit but everything stayed essentially the same.

Back in my day we didn't have such luxuries, when I was young I'd go fishing quite often and when I got bored I'd impale the worm bait we used with thorns off of bushes then toss them in the river hoping the unfortunate pawn would live and someday seek revenge. It was like a game and I knew my hopes were a lie but the kid inside me doesn't want to believe, and to this day I sleep on a raised slab of concrete to make it difficult for the small army of worm commandos who are waiting in the ether to have their revenge. I guess things aren't as simple now.

In no specific order, without the nuanced and intricate explanations:

* Buy food, don't worry about eating it. That's automatic. Also, I highly recommend only eating Q1 food. The rest is just a waste of money.

* Train. Don't be a pacifist. That has no place here.

* Move to a Q5 region, AKA a region with a Q5 hospital. Don't know how to figure out where one is? Use your head. Think hard, think again. Ask your friends. Use the wiki.

* Get a job. Work. Earn wages. You can only do this once per day. I know it takes forever to get your skill up, no there isn't a faster way. This game takes time. Have some patience.

* Fight & Heal. This is the most free and convenient way of maintaining your wellness. Thus why pacifism has no place here. You can use weapons, I recommend Q1 because of cost effectiveness. Unless you're the born superstar that Euphonix is don't bother with the others.

* Join a party, vote for a party pres, or a the country pres and your senators/congress nutters. This earns you periodic experience that helps you level fast. Practically everything does; eating, working, fighting, training. I know at first it seems like you can't even take a dump but if you do all of this you will soon reach level 10 and beyond.

* One thing I can't stress enough is that there isn't a trick to this game. It takes patience. That's all. Everything else you need is set before you already. If you find yourself in a tight spot like being strapped for cash, ask somebody for a loan, be it your employers, a co-worker, maybe a party pres, or a congressman. Most people who play this game are very generous. Just take things one day at a time, there isn't any way to "power-level" in this game.
