The beginning of a new millennium!

Day 3,000, 21:48 Published in Australia Canada by Ilene Dover

Hello peoples! Thank you for the turnout and support you have shown me yesterday. It is a humbling experience. And, if I'm totally honest, more than a little frightening as well.

The result is not official yet, but it's looking good for me. Thanks for keeping me honest FreeGigi.

Things are moving fast on the government front. For those without the dubious pleasure of access to one or more of the congress threads... There has been some *ahem* robust debate on the form our future government should take.

The discussion has at least boiled down to three fundamental choices.

Option 1. Democracy.

Here we continue as we are now.

Everyone must recognise that a MTO is possible under a democratic government. We must be vigilant against any opportunities being presented to outsiders. We must be determined to fight, and fight hard against any coup.

Option 2. Democratic dictatorship.

This is similar to the second half of 2015. The elected CP month by month will be a (the?) dictator. Officially they are subject to congress, but the effect ones of this will depend on individual CPs and congress members making an effort.

There are many grey areas with respect to citizenship passes and routine votes. All community and government members must acknowledge that activity will wane and there sustained deliberate effort from all of us is required to keep the game interesting. But we will be safe from a MTO.

Option 3. Constitutional dictatorship.

A "neutral" eAustralian of long and good reputation will hold dictatorship in perpetuity. They will press buttons at the direction of CP and congress. The eUK uses a similar model at present.

Grey areas and activity problems from option 2 remain. A suitable dictator must also to found. Rules also must be established around when it is time to change the dictator etc.

So, why am I writing all this. Let me explain the best way forward I can see.

I am calling for a champion of each option described above to volunteer, or be nominated.

Each champion will publish one article explaining the government style they propose and some nominal rules. Shine a light in the grey areas, guys. Let's not do things by halves this time!

These articles will be published together. I hope in a day or two, depending on how long it takes for a champion to be volunteered. I want to see champions ready by day change tomorrow (end day 3001). Volunteer yourself, or someone else, by comments below.

I know some people are hesitant about writing. If you want a short coaching clinic, an editor or something similar please just ask.

Afterwards, I will hold a referendum.
All votes will be public (probably by article comment) or will not count. And there are no wrong votes on this issue. Most of us hold an opinion and will argue it passionately.

The citizen's will must prevail here. I do not want someone putting words into my mouth, your mouth and eAustralia's mouth. This stuff matters!
