THE ADULT PARTY (TAP) UNDER PTO
For those of you who do not know, I, saltydog, am the President and Founder of The Adult Party. I am publishing this article to expose the PTO of my Party that is currently in motion, and as a cry for help to stop it.
ADULT PARTY UNDER TERRORIST ATTACK
Former members of the Green Party are forcibly taking over The Adult Party through what is known as a PTO (political take-over). This involves sending agents into a party, with a selected candidate, in order to forcibly win a Party Presidency election.
SUSPECTED TERRORISTS
The following people have been identified by myself, CSIS, and the government as being engaged in the planning and execution of the PTO:

Master36029
North Kanata (aka Andrew Mendelson, former President of the Green Party)
DarkGuy
Daniel Nadolny
The following people are supporters of the PTO, from within the ranks of the Crimson Canucks and implicit support from its leader, Rylde:

Bjorn Gregsson

This is my plea for help. While you may not agree with what I say in eRep, those who have taken the time to get to know me know that I am a very reasonable a rational person. This party is not about political games - I named it The Adult Party as a sign for those willing to actually THINK about issues and SPEAK about them FREELY, without the weight of a huge populist following keeping things from progressing. This is a party that Canada NEEDS for its focus on QUALITY over popularity, RATIONALITY and LOGIC before ideology, and FREE-SPEAKING membership!
I am not asking you to join this party!
What I am asking for is your help, your collective help to right a wrong and DO THE RIGHT THING. You do not have to be blind to realise that The Adult Party is being STOLEN by external agents for their own purposes. This is UNFAIR. If the Green Party candidates can organize a PTO dating back to November, they can get together the resources to piece 40g together and start a new party - I CANNOT.
GET THE WORD OUT. TELL YOUR FRIENDS OF THIS TERRORIST ACT AS IT IS HAPPENING.

Political parties cost 40 Gold. That's a serious investment (~$1200). For a group of people to hatch a conspiracy to take that from someone is Grand Larceny.
It is possible that this action is not illegal. The Supreme Court is deliberating that right now.
One thing that is certain, though, is that attempting to do something like this makes you a Grade-A Douchebag.

Why shouldn't those that want to enter politics and feel they can do a better job running a current party not go for leadership.
There public institutions regradless of who starts a party. Leadership changes and so does parties and there policies. The main problem in this country is everyone's complacency with the status quo.
I completely support Saltydog in his efforts to fight this clear PTO. I only wish I could do more.

Actually the statement that any counter action is illegal is in fact bullshit. The government can't order anyone to join, but a counter PTO force is as democratic as the PTO group. Just saying, if you are free willed, go and vote!

It doesn't matter if it's democracy to elect someone different to a party, it's plain wrong to take that party by unjust means.
If you want to become leader of of a party, then become a leader by running and letting the members decide... Do not take it by force or PTO.

But I don't agree that this is that kind of situation. It is democracy to be able to run against a current leader, but PTO is not a democratic way to go about that goal. If you don't like the way your party is going, then run against the current leader and let the members decide. Just because you don't like your parties heading... Doesn't mean other memers feel the same way.

It is a very non-classy move to try to make a political party by completely erasing what the old party stood for with the help of a group who has no previous affiliation with the party. If this goes through, I hope it comes back to bite them.
